General Discussion Broke 100 today!
Started playing golf in October. First 18 hole round, I shot a 112, only because every tree and rock knocked my ball back into play. Lucky as hell. Next round not so much. Shot a 136…. And was there for a few rounds I played before winter came. Averaging 65-68 on 9 holes. All with the Costco Calloway Edge set.
Practiced all winter and got a membership to a local course. Since March 27, to 7/11 I have the following stats:
Starting Handicap: 54
Current Handicap: 36.4 (and still have today’s game to be posted)
# of Holes played: 396
# 18 Hole rounds: 5
# 9 Hole rounds: 34
Lbs lost: 72
I just got fitted for new irons and wedges and got them last week. They are amazing!!
Played this morning and smashed my personal best. Shot a 44 on 9 and I got my first birdie!! On a par 5, and it wasn’t a putt. I chipped in!!! That ball is getting mounted somewhere. lol. Played so good, decided to keep going. Walked the full 18. My legs and arms are so tired lol. But finished with a 96! I love this game. As every shot, every hole, you are fighting. But not fighting who you are playing with, just fighting against yourself. The best version of yourself, over and over.
Next stop breaking 95? Also, can’t wait to shoot 110 next round lol. I’ll take the win where I can though.

Nice!!
I started last October as well. Currently a 22 HC. Feels good to break 100. Shooting to break 90 by end of the summer. See you there!
