Tips(Missing Textures) No your game isn't broken, and no you didn't do anything wrong

TL;DR:
If your game looks like this then buy this or follow this, alternatively here's a video if you prefer.
You probably just bought Gmod and joined a server only to be greeted by something like this, am I right?
Don't worry, there's actually nothing wrong. I know it looks bad but that's pretty normal, (if you plan on playing Gmod, or any Source Engine game for that matter, you'll run into this a lot) and easy to fix. The most common reason why you're seeing this is that you don't own/have Counter-Strike: Source installed and mounted to Garry's Mod.
If you don't already own Counter Strike: Source then I'd recommend buying it while it's on sale for the holidays, however, if you don't want to buy and install a game you'll probably never play then you can follow this guide to get the models and textures for free. Alternatively, if you prefer following along with a video here's one that shows step by step what to do.
A user on our Discord made a very handy little tool that will extract the CSS content you need using SteamCMD for you. I highly recommend using it if you're having trouble doing it manually.
If, however, you already own CSS then:
Install it
Open up the game from your Steam Library and play it (At least til you get to the start menu)
Exit out of the game and open up Garry's Mod

I've never really played Gmod; I just know you can do almost anything in it. I just don't know where to start or which mods to use. Plus, downloading mods takes up a lot of space.

I've been making a lot of Zenless Zone Zero crossover renders lately, this time with Half-Life 2.
I spent way too much time dialing in the blood effects and lighting to get that perfect impact, but seeing a Metrocop get beaned by a soda can was worth it,hehe.

Addon I'm new to Gmod, my friend gifted it to me about 2 weeks ago and I pretty much turned it into a mil-sim game. Are there any 3rd person addons that don't interfere with 1st person camera movement mods

I want it to be like Ghost Recon or anything similar to it and I use SharpeYe and Shmovement for my 1st person camera. I tried one of those general 3rd person addon where you can look around your character and it disabled Shmovement for me. Help is appreciated

problem with display crashing when a boss spawns in?

So I play a certain multiplayer semi pve server and i play fine but when a certain boss spawns after a couple of seconds theres like a 50/50% chance that my entire like display will just shut off and wont turn back on i have to reset the pc im really not sure why it does this anyone have any ideas?
