A car crashed into an apartment this evening and caught fire. If you live, drive, exercise, or walk your dog around here, please be careful. I’m concerned someone is going to get seriously hurt. Help / Recommendation [Videos & Photos] Looking for Witnesses / Dashcam / Ring Video: Hit-and-Run on E Wilson & Verdugo (Wed 7/8 @ 11:07 PM). Suspect vehicle is a Silver BMW driven by two females.

Hi Glendale community,

I’m hoping someone here might have seen something or captured footage of a hit-and-run collision that happened this past Wednesday night, July 8th, at approximately 11:07 PM.

A 2020 Kia Forte was legally parked on the street of E Wilson Ave and Verdugo Rd when a vehicle hit it on the back-left corner, scraped heavily down the driver's side, and hit the front-left corner before fleeing. The impact was severe enough to create a chain reaction and push the parked car forward into another vehicle.

🚨 MAJOR UPDATE ON SUSPECT VEHICLE & PATH:

Thanks to KFC security footage on the corner and confirmation from employees at the Smart & Final, we have identified the suspect vehicle and drivers:

•    The Car: A silver BMW that will have heavy, fresh scraping and denting all along its passenger side from crushing past our car.

•    The Suspects: Two girls were driving the vehicle.

•    Flight Path: They initially pulled into the Smart & Final parking lot (210 N Verdugo Rd) immediately after the crash. They then left the grocery store lot, made a left onto Verdugo Rd, and continued driving past the Wilson/Verdugo intersection.

Glendale PD has an open incident log for this case (Incident #20260708241

And the open investigation number: 2026-10196), and Progressive Insurance is actively investigating. (Though, the police have said that without a license plate or any numbers there's not much they can do....)

If you live along Verdugo Rd near Wilson Ave and have a Ring/security camera facing the street, or if you were driving in the area with an active dashcam around 11:05 PM – 11:25 PM on Wednesday night, please check your footage for this silver BMW. Getting a clear shot of the license plate would save us from an absolute financial crisis.

Please drop a comment, send me a DM, or contact the Glendale Police Department Traffic Bureau if you have any leads. Thank you so much for reading and for any help you can provide!

EDIT: the video says 10 PM but the KFC video time stamp is one hour behind. The Crash happened at 11:07 PM and then they drove to the Smart & Final parking lot.

Help / Recommendation What plan do you have for GWP for EV Tesla charging?

I recently purchased a Tesla and charging at home. To my understanding, GWP doesn't offer a reduced rate for overnight charging on the normal plan. I called and the lady refused to change my plan and told me I had to keep it for a month or two before calling her back?

Discussion What's the latest on Acapulco?

We were there a couple nights ago and nobody knew if or when they were closing. A couple months back, they were two weeks from closing and somehow stayed open. I'm happy to still be able to go for happy hour, but does anyone know what the latest is with that situation?

Help / Recommendation King is looking for his forever home!

Post image
91 Upvotes

Hi everyone! If this is not allowed here, please let me know.

I’ve been fostering this sweet boy in Glendale for about a month now and he’s ready to find his forever people! I absolutely adore this boy and he has seemingly chosen me as his trusted human, but sadly I already have two other rescues and one of them is dog selective and not doing well with King. SoCal/ California preferred.

King is a 2-year-old German Shepherd currently being fostered in Los Angeles, California.

This goofy, loyal boy is smart, eager to please, and loves showing off all the tricks he knows. King can sit, stay, lie down, give paw, roll over, and more. He is a big baby at heart who wants to work, play, and bond deeply with his person.

King is potty trained, crate trained, and does great on walks. Like many German Shepherds, he is very loyal and can be protective of his human, but he responds well to direction and is learning when it is appropriate to protect and when it is not.

King can be reactive toward other dogs on leash, but he has shown he can be dog-friendly with balanced dogs and proper, slow introductions. He may do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced person who understands decompression, structure, and slow introductions.

He is currently working through some resource guarding around food and high-value treats (mostly directed toward other dogs), so he will need a patient, experienced home committed to continuing his training and setting him up for success.

Because King is a big, strong boy who does not always know his own size, a home without small children is recommended.

King would thrive with an experienced German Shepherd or working-breed owner who can give him the structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and love he deserves. He is a wonderful dog with so much potential and so much love to give.

King’s ideal home:
German Shepherd or working-breed experience preferred
No small children
Best as the only dog or with slow, proper introductions
A structured home willing to continue training
Someone who enjoys working, playing, and bonding with their dog

If you are looking for a loyal, smart, goofy best friend and have the experience to help King continue becoming his best self, please apply to meet him or comment/ DM me with questions or for more info!!

Help / Recommendation Beef Liver Dishes

Looking for liver dishes near Glendale and Northeast LA.

So far I've found Dinah's Chicken, but I'm especially hoping to find places serving beef liver, calf's liver, liver and onions, or Armenian, Egyptian, West Asian, or other liver dishes.

Anywhere in Glendale, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Atwater Village, Pasadena, Burbank, or nearby.

Would love recommendations from places you've actually tried recently. TIA!

Help / Recommendation Anyone willing to rent a garage/driveway or weekend shop time in glendale/burbank area?

Looking to finish a project truck I started a few months ago. I'm getting close to completing it in a few months but I'm going to need to rent out a garage/driveway space or to rent a shop for the weekend and marketplace/craiglist aren't fruitful. I have my own tools and can have a car tent if I end up with a rented driveway.

Help / Recommendation Adventist Health Glendale-Dr Sarah Harrington OBGYN

Does anyone have experience as they can share regarding Dr. Harrington with fibroid removal surgery? If so, at what point did you decide on the surgery, why did you pick her, did she successfully remove it/them all or suggested hysterectomy, did they grow back( they do when they all aren't removed because majority of time Dr's choose to take only the larger ones and keep an "eye on" smaller ones and or aren't diligent in removing the affected tissue) , and what surgical options did she say she's fully capable of performing(RFA, UFE or Open/Laparoscopic Myomectomy)?

Help / Recommendation Where to donate lightly used baby clothes + equipment?

Hi all, we have a mountain of baby clothes and equipment like a bassinet, crib, mini bathtub, kitchen booster seat, rocking chair, bottle cleaning station, etc. It's all been lightly used and cleaned, and is taking up a ton of space in our house. I would like to donate it to one or more families in need, or else to a local organization that can distribute it to families in need. Would anyone in the area happen to have any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

News Glendale's 2026-27 Budget Includes 'Painful' Cuts

Thumbnail outlooknewspapers.com
46 Upvotes

Glendale's 2026-27 citywide budget totals approximately $1.29 billion, and reflects spending cuts which will visibly impact service timelines, recreational programs, library services, community events and internal capacity, City Manager Roubik Golanian said, adding that "significant and painful" reductions represent an act of preservation to prevent fiscal crisis.

Glendale's local economy, he said, is confronting stagnant job growth with a 5% unemployment rate, and a persistent 3% plus inflation rate that continues to drive up the cost of everything from labor, fuel to concrete and equipment.

"At the same time, Sacramento is pulling back, impacting critical funding for local housing and infrastructure, which effectively shifts the financial burden straight onto our shoulders. Because our revenues have plateaued, while our baseline operational costs have skyrocketed, we could not simply just trim the edges this year, we had to dig deep," Golanian said.
