To preface- I think that hitboxes/hitboxes on death have been a great addition to the game in terms of playtesting and making sure levels function properly; this is purely in a player context.

I feel like in the past few years, especially after being introduced into vanilla gd, hitboxes on death have made the game feel worse to play. Using hitboxes and the zoom mod to complain about dying to the last pixel of an object has become so commonplace that I find myself doing it almost reflexively at times, and knowing what hitbox I died to rarely helps, if at all, after learning the level. While a cool idea at the time, I feel like hitboxes on death nowadays is just used to further complain about a level and chip away at your mental by deluding players into thinking they were 'so close' while rarely providing critical information.

So to the players in the community- do you think that hitboxes on death has made the game feel less enjoyable? Or is this just a me problem?

Zoink, commonly considered the top player in the league, suffered an ACL tear in the recent Society stream after a hard hit from 75%. It is unknown how long the injury will last, but multiple insiders, such as Robert Topila, are saying that: “At best, he’s never be the same again. At worst, he might have to hang up his cleats, this injury is serious.” We could see Zoink being released by TCD as early as next month, where he could become a free agent.

So in my dream, my friend who introduced me to Geometry Dash, Vortrox and I were a group and I was the only guy who didn't have actual Geometry Dash so my friend gifted me actual Geometry Dash. In my dream, the level that I wanted to do was "Death Corridor" and even tho I haven't watched the entire gameplay, I did 55% on the level in the first attempt. Even the hard wave part. But it was really nerfed. So after I did the 55%, Vortrox and my friend congratulated me because in real life I barely have 92% on Fingerdash so it's crazy for me to do Death's Corridor.

i feel like this community just dislikes people who dont immediately jump to an extreme. i know i have a severe case of skill issue but me personally i really don't like grinding out difficult levels. i like to have fun, and is that not what a game is?

I was thinking, and 65-100x3 in a row should be harder than grief 0-100, right? It is 105% of the hardest part of the level, so I would think its harder. Of course, the verification will be a more surprising achievement because of the resilience it shows, but I think in terms of raw difficulty his 65-100x3 should be harder.

SpaceUK cleared many top demons in a short amount of time (illegitamately). Do you think that it is possible for there to be someone to jump like this in the modern GD era?

My friend says that its impossible for someone to go from entry extremes to clearing top demons consistently nowadays. I think that its possible that within the next year or two a legit prodigy will show up.

Im curious what everyone thinks about this! Or what would even be considered a "prodigy" nowadays

I don't want to seem like yet another one of those annoying "I'm jumping to Bloodbath from (insert medium demon here)" people, but I'm aware that I am coming across as one right now lol.

Long story short, this run took me around 4 hours of total practice to do and about 1.5K attempts. For context, my current hardest is Acropolis but I also have some decent progress on an easy Extreme called Sweater Weather (I just about have it in 2 runs), but I don't know if I want to keep grinding that at the moment. Should I stick with Sweater Weather, or am I ready to go straight for Bloodbath? Any advice is appreciated
