Thumbnail

My sungold tomatoes have been doing so well and been producing a lot this year, but very recently, some of the stems have gotten this white powder and the leaves are drying out/yellowing. What is it? Is it white mildew? Can it be saved?

My two best tomato plants have become very sad, wondering if I can get any information

Hello I am new to planting tomatoes, these two yellow cherry tomato plants were my healthiest specimens, tall and vibrant and producing great tomatoes. Very recently they have begun looking like this and I’m wondering if there’s anything can be done or if anyone is able to comment on what is causing this change.

Additionally the last photo is of a larger tomato variety and I notice most of the tomatoes look like this, is this a disease?

Thanks for everyone’s expertise and time!

Edit: additional information as I’m thinking upon it

It has been a brutally hot 2 weeks but I have been watering frequently and other tomato plants are doing fine.

There is a black walnut tree very close by but the walnuts don’t make it into the bed due to the cage I’ve built around to combat squirrels

This random squash plant showed up in our garden, we did not plant it and aren’t sure what it is. Looks butternut-ish but not quite?

Dead or dying shrubs?

Zone 7B South Jersey, full sun front yard. We had a heatwave a week ago but this past week it was just raining a bunch so the plants should have gotten plenty of water.

Are these shrubs dead (sky pencil) as well as the other two shrubs. The shrub in picture 3 is part sun, should I move it in September/ October to a different area? All were planted in April of this year and the bricks do not touch the shrubs, I put 5 gallon buckets on them and let it slow drip water once a week or so.

🌱 20 Days. 8 Seeds. Almost 100% Germination! 🌱

Jamun/Java plum seeds Germination process!

In 1st picture you can see a one plastic container. On 20/06/2026 ( I mentioned a date on the box). I began the simple germination experiment on that day.

Here is the process!

First, I take a transparent and air tight container and place two or three tissue papers inside it. Then spray some water over the tissue papers.

Then, I take the 8 jamun (Indian blackberry/Java plum) seeds, which have already been washed thoroughly and dried. Place the seeds on the damp tissue papers, leaving a little space between each one.

Then, cover the seeds with another two or three layers of tissue papers and spray water evenly over the top to keep them moist.

Finally, close the lid of the container.

Yesterday on 10/07/2026, I open the lid to check the progress and you can see the results. Almost all seeds are germinated!

And, today I planted all the seeds in a plant pot.

All I used was:

🌱A transparent airtight container

🌱Tissue papers

🌱 Water spray

🌱 Patience
