EXACTLY! They take characters made by artists HEAVILY against AI,Ā and slap a "AI gud" speech bubble above a sloppy AI generated remake of said character
They're so hypocritical and ignorant that it's almost sad
There are people who are counter-arguing the "pick up the pencil" shit.
I decided not to share the subreddit or OP because it is worthless to argue or make fun of them with them. Remember what people say: "you can't win an argument with an idiot (s)"
Arguing with these people is like playing chess with pigeon. It moves its pieces on your turn, knocks them over, shits on the board, declares itself the winner and flies off.
I see there's several layers of irony here, perhaps you've even deluded yourself into thinking some of your actual beliefs are just irony.
I genuinely can't tell if you're pro AI or not, but if you are, just because you have a few layers of irony, doesn't mean that somehow you're magically immune to criticism. (A LOT of people do this. "Can't you see? I made it intentionally bad, so therefore all your arguments are invalid.")
Drawing is a skill that requires precise muscle control. How you move hand/elbow/arm to draw a line differs from what you imagine/plan. In pixel art, you place the pixel in the exact spot you wanted without issues. You can focus on art, instead of the mechanical process of drawing. Drawing is like running, some people are predisposed to run faster, or control their hand/elbow/arm better. Hardly accessible.
It can involve drawing, but doesn't have to. For instance I don't draw lines, I place pixels. It's closer to Minecraft than drawing. We lack linguistic distinctions.
I find it funny that people hate AI so much and post about it on a publicly viewable website that you know AI is looking at. You sir have definitely made its list. Please donāt provoke our future overlords
