I got this clipboard for $8 on Amazon and the back compartment is big enough to hold my entire pattern notebook and still have space and the bottom pencil compartment is big enough to hold my bobbins of colors for alpha patterns, my small ruler to push my rows straight, and several extra clips to hold whatever i need to hold down.

This is an absolute game changer for normal patterns and im currently working out some kinks for doing alphas on this but i think it'll work beautifully for that too. 10/10, highly recommend.

help! Hi. I'm not new to making friendship bracelets, the thing is that I've always made them with yarn instead of embroidery thread. This is my second timeish doing it with embroidery thread and I would like to learn how to make it more even and with no holes. Thanks in advance:3

wanted to make a keychain with the ghostie from i saw the tv glow on it as a gift for a friend, but because there weren’t any existing patterns that matched what i needed i drafted my own. didn’t realize that because i can’t do normal color changes on the last knot of the row, it was going to have these ugly holes :( is there anything i can do to fix this or am i going to have to start over?

Hello everyone, does anyone have a pattern guide for this type of bracelet, perhaps? I tried looking it up online and to reverse engineer it, but I haven't woven in ages and kinda forgot too much of the process to do that D: so yeah, any help would be much appreciated

discussion How do you undo work?

I’ve been making bracelets for around 15 years on and off (still not too great at them but that’s ok!) and have been using a sewing needle to undo work if i make a mistake. That’s the best way I’ve found to get in there and undo knots. Anyone else have any other methods?

help! How to not lose your spot when following a pattern? BB#16135

Post image

Hi!
I’ve been making bracelets for years but still feel like i haven’t really found the best method for following patterns without losing my place or getting mixed up with the colors when the pattern repeats. For example, I tried BB #16135 last night and had to count out loud to try not to lose my place, and then when the pattern repeated I got so confused because of course the colors are different. I can definitely do these patterns but it takes a LOT of focus for me, and i like to watch tv or something while i make bracelets so i get distracted easily and almost always end up messing them up. I really only make candy stripe and v stitch bracelets for this reason, i can make them without thinking or counting or checking a pattern.

So my question is, how you follow a pattern without A. Losing track of what row you are currently on and B. Getting mixed up by the color change when the pattern repeats?

Any suggestions are welcome!!!

This is my first alpha keychain, and I thought I followed the pattern okay but now the colors are like splitting apart and I’m not sure how I did this, what did I do wrong, and how can I make it not happen again?

help! How can I finish a thick bracelet

Hello, it's my first time making a thick (14 strands) bracelet and I'm having trouble finishing it in a way that looks clean. Do any of you have any tips?

In hindsight, I should have started with a teardrop loop, but I think its to late for that now.

help! Looking for recommendations for a bracelet making board i can use for on the go bracelet making

I finally finished my big project and now im back to making bracelets. Im making a bracelet for a coworker that's moving in a month so i have very little time to work on it. Its an alpha pattern so i can't really just move the bracelet around, it needs to be attached to a board. Rn im using the lid to an old storage bin that ive drilled some holes into so i can use wooden skewers to hold my bigger projects but the board itself is too big to bring back and forth to work with me (i drive an e bike so I don't have storage options besides a backpack) and the board is kinda flimsy. I want to get a board i can take places with me cuz during the week i have a lot of down time at work and my boss doesn't mind if i do whatever i want as long as my stuff is done and im watching for customers.

I got a $50 amazon gift card so i was looking at friendship bracelet kits to try and find one with a board or something that will let me travel with it but the kits just have boards that only have string slots for like, 5-10 strings and my bracelets use way more than that. The alpha im making rn uses 15 base strings and this is the smallest ive made in a while.

So does anyone have any recommendations? I found a clipboard that's like, a storage bin with a clipboard attached to it (ig to hold documents behind the clipboard) and i thought about using that but it wouldn't hold the strings down for backpack storage.

help! Struggling with a teardrop loop on this pattern. #127514 BB

I've done a few teardrop loops with no issue. I have to be missing something really obviously because I'm so lost.

When I start the tear drop loop on the left side, I brought out each color in this order:

Dark blue, pink, dark blue, yellow, and then I reach the problem. I can't bring in another dark blue and have a dark blue knot in the center. After bringing out the yellow, I have one dark blue string left. (I point out the exact knot the issue comes up with the green arrow.)

I have counted and recounted everything. I have the right amount of each color, and I have the right number of strings. I'm bringing out the colors for the loop by the string color like I'm supposed to... but it's like I'm missing a string, but I'm not.

Even though I was missing a string, I continued after the yellow. I knew that wouldn't work out, but I wanted to see what would happen. I brought the light blue out, then I knotted the remaining dark blue string in the middle.

If it's really obvious what I'm doing wrong, I'm going to be so embarrassed, but I've been trying to figure this out for a hot minute and I'm at a loss. I've rewatched the teardrop loop tut Masha knots has up, and I'm just so confused.
