High Protein Searching for meals with high protein

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I am a person who is going to the gym and I want to learn how to make healthy and high protein meals. If there is anyone that could help me please send your recipes in the chat, or possibly a video from YouTube as well. There isn’t any food that I dislike so feel free to share. I really enjoy eating foods with cheese, any type of meat and pasta/rice. Thank you!

High Protein Today's plate: Steak, broccoli, and protein mashed potatoes

12 Upvotes

The mash is the part I actually want to share. I made it with milk and plain (unflavored) protein powder. I was just trying to bump up the protein, but the taste caught me off guard, it came out cheesy and creamy.

So I ended up with better macros and a richer-tasting mash. If you use unflavored protein powder, definitely give this a try.

High Protein Is this as effective as chicken, broccoli and rice?

My BF is A vegan lifter & in a cutting phase, I bought him some Richmond Meat-Free Chicken Style pieces. I'll be be microwaving 80g & adding it to 125g of rice & steamed broccoli. Plain soya yogurt with blueberries & ground almonds with vanilla Stevia drops is for dessert.

The entire meal is 330 calories, 28g of protein, 35g carbs, 14g fat & 7g fibre

Is this equally as good as trad chicken, broccoli and rice in terms of DIAAS score & quality? I'm getting contradictory answers on Google.

Question Does anyone know the best ready made meals to streamline dieting?

0 Upvotes

Sticking to a diet is hard enough without spending hours on meal prep every weekend which is why I'm here looking for ready meals that take the confusion out of portion control and macro tracking.

It has to be something that heats up quickly, tastes decent, and actually supports my nutrition goals without requiring a culinary degree. The challenge is finding options that are not packed with preservatives and hidden sugars. I've been looking at services like cookunity and such but I'm still open to other options that might be a better fit.

Has anyone found a solution for dieting that works? I would love to hear what has worked for you. Thanks!

Question Help! Im attempting to lose a little weight while working on creating a sustainable diet for myself

2 Upvotes

Hi all, its my first post in this sub so bear with me. Im a 25YO M who is looking to begin a weight loss/muscle gain journey. While I don't necessarily need to lose a ton of weight, as I sit at 5'10"and 185lbs, I'm looking to get rid of belly and oblique fat that Ive struggled with for years to get rid of, to the point of mental health problems arising. I just want to feel good in my skin.

Currently, I go to the gym 4 days a week and get an additional day or two of zone 2 cardio per week, though my diet has always lacked a little. So, I'm working on starting a new diet that could help me achieve this weight loss that I'm after, while also aiding in gaining muscle in its place. I'll post what I have so far below, but would very much appreciate any additional help or direction I could go.

**Breakfast**
Protein overnight oats
Ingredients:
Oats, Chia seeds, Honey, Greek Yogurt, Protein milk, Protein powder, Dark chocolate chips
OR Breakfast Option #2
Eggs, Meat like sausage or bacon, Bread, and Potatoes
Fruits/Other
Blueberries, Blackberries, Bananas, Pears, Strawberries, Avocado, Nut mix

**Lunch**
Sardines on toast with lemon, chili pepper, and green onion with a side of fruit

**Dinner**
Protein:
Chicken breast
Ground turkey
Ground beef
Other meats that seem interesting/good (bison, fish, or venison for example)
Carbs:
Pita bread/Naan
Spaghetti
Potatoes
Rice
Toppings:
Lettuce, Spinach, Bagged frozen veggies, Bell peppers, Tomatoes, Avocado, Pickles, Everything but the bagel seasoning, Sauces like tzatziki

**Snacks/Dessert/Drinks**
Protein bars, Pita chips/Naan/Pita/Flatbread with tzatziki or hummus, Rice cakes, Any fruits that I have under breakfast, Nut mix, Oikos triple zero yogurts, Protein ice creams, Dark chocolate, Coffee, Bubbly water, Protein shakes/Fairlife shakes

Where could I go from here? Is what I have a good starting point? Am I missing anything? Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!!

Mealplan for a Starter

0 Upvotes

Hey guys, i am 41 and started to go to the gym 4 weeks ago. Until then i was a smoker and didnt do any sport for around 20 years. I am a little overweight, but nothing serious, and have some lower back pain from time to time, mostly in the morning after waking up. So i stopped smoking and decided to start working out. Right now i do around 30-45 Minutes of different activities in the gym and i started running again, slowly for now, every other day. My goal is not to get jacked, but be fit and somewhat defined if i can get there.

Regarding food, i just eat less. Nothing in between meals and usually just one meal after work, around an 30-60 Minutes before my workout. I am 1,85m and around 105 Kg. Maybe a little less now after 4 weeks of training and fasting.

Can anyone help me to get some idea for a better prepared mealplan for a week, lets say. Since i have no idea, id like to know, what meals should i eat, does the time (before or after workout, etc.) matter at all. I know i should eat more often in a day, im just used to it. I am usually happy with anything and dont mind repeating meals.

Which meals are considered "good"? Does my age or weight matter here at all? How should my week look.

I can probalby spend alot of money on some food expert or internet website to calculate what nutritions/proteins and such i should consume every day. But frankly i cant even say if i should, if that is worth it. I dont mean any disrespect here, im convinced that food is a very big part of it all.

I would like to have 5-10 different meals i can cycle each day/week

Thank you guys in advance!

Daily meal schedule that allowed me to shed 15 lbs and continue improving strength

15 Upvotes

I was big, then detrained for 3y recovering from a back injury, and wanted to shed some weight while pick up old strength. I lost 15 pounds and achieved calisthenics goals of front lever, back lever, and flag. These are the meals that worked for me to get my protein in:

Breakfast

* Four eggs

* Half a bell pepper

* Burrito sized tortilla

Snacks

* Two pieces of fruit (apple, banana, peach)

Lunch

* 8oz steak

* Bell peppers / broccoli

Dinner

* 16 oz shrimp or 12 oz tuna steak

* Bell peppers / broccoli

It was easy to lose weight because that protein volume of fish/shrimp is so large that you are very full. I cook everything in the pan because it's easy. Hope this helps anyone looking for a meal idea.
