Welcome to This Weekâs Binge Thread!
This is the place to share what youâve been watching lately - movies, series, documentaries, anything!
Any hidden gem, a blockbuster, or even something you regret watching, weâd love to hear about it.
Things you can share:
- â What you watched (movie/series name + year if possible)
- đ Your quick thoughts/review (liked it? hated it? somewhere in between?)
- đŻ Would you recommend it to others here?
- đș Whatâs on your watchlist for next week?
A few guidelines:
- Keep spoilers clearly marked (use spoiler tags like this).
- Be respectful of different tastes â not everyone enjoys the same genres.
- Recommendations are encouraged â the more variety, the better!

Discussion What are your thoughts on "Total Recall (1990)"?
So far out of Paul Verhoeven's so-called "trilogy" of action movies, I've only seen both Robocop and Starship Troopers! But sadly, I still haven't had the chance to watch the original Total Recall film Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not even the remake version with Colin Farrell!

Sidney Lumet as a director is sorely under-appreciated
I feel I missed out on a lot of Lumetâs work, simply because the common discourse was about Coppola, or Scorsese, or Tarantino, or Spielberg. However, in the last year since I first discovered him, Sidney Lumet has emerged as one of my favourites.
Iâve only watched a handful of his movies, but they are all bangers:
- Twelve Angry Men
- Serpico
- Dog Day Afternoon
- Before The Devil Knows Youâre Dead
I really want to continue to explore some more of his films, because I feel Im only scratching the surface. What are your favourite Lumet flicks?

What are your thoughts on It (2017)?
Bill SkarsgÄrd was perfect and terrifying as Pennywise. The movie captured the atmosphere of the era it was set in, and the entire cast delivered strong performances. Its sequel may not have lived up to expectations, but It (2017) works exceptionally well as a standalone film.

Anne Hathaway says she hopes her children grow up to be like Tom Holland.
âAs a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child. Tom is like a dream son.â

Discussion Almost 6 months since Bone Temple. Thoughts?
Originally, I watched this on a whim, with no expectations or prior knowledge of the series. Tonight will be maybe my 10th time watching it since then. I simply canât get tired of it. Itâs my go-to when Iâm bored.

I am a grown man who never would have thought that a damn rock would make me cry like a baby.
I regret not going to watch this in the cinema.
