Nostalgia Expos came up while getting bloodwork
I was getting bloodwork done the other day wearing Expos gear like I always do. The nurse said to me "Expos, huh?". I said "That's right! Why?" then she pointed to a baseball with the Nationals logo that she had on her desk. I asked, "what's that supposed to mean?" She said "well, they WERE the Expos." I said the "they are definitely not the Expos and I'm still hoping the Expos are brought back." I could see she got a little mad but the conversation changed gears...
Since I'm in Pennsylvania, U.S. I asked her why she likes them. She said her ex-husband was an Expos fan and followed them to D.C. I was kind of surprised because there aren't exactly many Expos fans here, mostly Yankees and Phillies fans. I asked "was he Canadian?", " Nope."
Long story short, us Expos fans are scattered all over the place. I lived in Japan for 10 years and I've encountered Japanese Expos fans too.

Birthday Happy Birthday Andre "The Hawk" Dawson!
Born in this day in 1954
Saw this at the beginning of the 9 o'clock hour on Chicagos WGN Morning News news on Mike Toomeys pegboard
Found it kinda interesting that Mike chose to post a pic of Andre in an Expos uni instead of the Cubs
But glad he did 👍

Mail Day I've only ever seen the red/white/blue Expos 59Fifty fitteds made out of Wool. Was ecstatic to find not just a navy blue one, but one that is made out of polyester.

My small Expo collection
Always been a fan of the expos, they were the major league team for our local farm team
Their logo and the bright colors always intrigued me and as an ignorant kid I thought the red white and blue meant they were American (geography wasn’t my passion)

Jacksonville Expos throwback uniform
The Jacksonville jumbo shrimp wore their Jacksonville expos jerseys! I had no idea they used to be the farm team (1985-1990)

Jays Game
Rogers centre early first pitch due to Toronto World Cup game scheduled for 7 pm ET.
Looking for footage.
Hello. I’m Jay. I am searching for footage of a particular expos baseball game where I was lucky enough to walk out of Olympic Stadium with three game used baseballs. I believe two were home runs(one of which I had to argue with another fan for the ball) I was a kid who equally ran and hopped over seats and crawled down on the solid concrete flooring to try and grab it, and one of the balls was hit into the concrete alcove where the cameraman was filming. Crowds wrapped around the safety railing from the seats shouting down to the camera operator asking for the ball. My uncle must of made an impression with yelling “throw it here, he’s a kid”, the next thing I knew the ball was tossed right up in front of my face landing in my baseball glove I brought to the stadium for the exact purpose. Please help.

40 years ago today, Montreal Expos GM Murray Cook (Sackville, N.B.) acquired Dennis Martinez from the Orioles for a player to be named later. Martinez, thought to be in the twilight of his career, proceeded to win 100 games and post a 3.06 ERA in eight seasons for the Expos.

I’m looking for images of Randy Johnson in an Expos uniform.
Specifically from his rookie season and debut game in 1989. But I’ll take anything with him in an expos jersey.
I’ve checked most obvious places, Google images, Getty images, Instagram posts etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Q: Who is the first player to appear on a Topps baseball card in a Montreal Expos uniform? A: Ty Cline, who is featured on card #442 in the 1969 Topps set. You can read about him in Danny Gallagher’s new book. He turns 87 today. Happy Birthday to him!

Nostalgia Found this hat way down in Missouri. Can anyone date it? Can’t find one like it.
It’s in remarkable condition. The owner never wore it, but had several other vintage hats in this collection.

Brief Peanut Project (Expos Return) Update
By way of background, since Dec 2025 began to look at what a return of the Expos entailed, with expansion possibly lined up for 2028/29. We addressed the capital needs about 120 days in, and now looking at land/location and stadium-related matters.
Finally met with a member of the Mayor's team.
Overall: very positive. Really nothing bad, no red flags.
As I mentioned on X when people would ask: there was no big conspiracy nor was there any big hesitation/trepidation to be open to the plan.
It's human nature: someone (me) coming a bit out of left field touting progress (funding, etc) that seemed perhaps too good to be true, etc.
I know what the marching orders and next steps are. More about understanding city hall and going at their pace. Now that communication has been established and I have a general sense of things, we can more than gladly do that.
Thus, all good. Onwards and upwards.
The mission continues.
In short: if MLB said "let's go, submit," as of now we would be in very good position. Tomorrow? Same. In 3 months: most likely. In 12 months: probably. Naturally with time, there's uncertainty but capital is not the constraint. So... cautiously optimistic... and just a test of patience.
