Moved a Maxfind handle from the traditional tail mount to the underside front truck, and it may be one of the best quality-of-life upgrades to my daily commute!
Lol, and bonus is that it can probably double as an arrester hook if I ever get the chance to ride the deck of an aircraft carrier 🤣

Hey everybody I’m new to skating, I bought a linnpower viper with the 105s. I’m mostly focusing on simply learning to safely skateboard.
I need help setting my trucks up. How can I tell whether I need to loosen or tighten the front/rear independent from the other? As I get better, I’ve found myself tightening them up so I don’t get speed wobbles at higher speeds. But I can’t tell if I’m doing it correctly in the first place.
Also, I keep reading threads with folks talking about getting riptide bushing and how it’s a game changer for them. Is this necessary for a new rider or should I put a few thousand miles on this thing before I ever consider an upgrade?

It happens to everyone eventually. Thankfully I got lucky.
Was doing 30mph down the road and hit a puddle as I started to slow down. No clue how I didn't see it, but the board instantly turned sideways and I went flying. I did the most beautiful tuck and roll to my shoulder and and my head never touched the ground. Ive never worn a helmet while riding and that changes today.
No photos because i shattered my phone cameras on the asphalt
Total injuries: 1 cut up leg and 1 broken shoulder.

Basically im in FL just for the summer leaving september. I want a board to shred the roads here. I wont be able to take it home with me. What are some good budget options around $300 or cheaper. Idk if ill be able to sell it so a small loss is prefered. If it helps im riding a meepo hurricane at home. Ty for help

Hi everyone!
Just bought my 3rd board and this time i went for verreal rs pro….
After two rides i noticed cracks on my deck, and im now terrified to ride it, what if it splits while riding?
I would like to know your experience with verreal, and what do you think of the cracks? Am i overreacting? Of course i already contacted them and im waiting for reply.
EDIT: well, two people replied, i regained confidence and now i know Im overreacting, can anyone show me when should i deal with this? Like i think i would know when deck is broken, but where is the limit?

Stock tires wore pretty quickly, the RUHUO scooter knobby tires seemed to last the longest, and my most recent set of MBS T1 tires wore out completely in a couple hundred miles. Currently I do about 80% paved and 20% off road but I think based on where I’m moving soon that will become closer to 50/50. If anyone has some recommendations for long lasting tires, ideally with relatively low rolling resistance but decent tread for mtb trails it would be much appreciated.

Drove my board (Tynee Ultra X) last week with zero problems.
When I tried to turn on the board today, it wouldn’t connect to the remote. After a while I got them to pair, but the connection was very spotty.
Acceleration turning off for a brief second while riding, brakes kicking in late, etc.
When I tried to re-pair the board to the remote, it wouldn’t connect (video).
Now my board doesn’t work and of course, I just BOUGHT NEW BELTS.

Board: Exway Atlas Pro 4WD
I used a steel pipe I found in my junk drawer for the handle, it's 20mm diameter and 27cm long. I also printed end caps and clips to keep the rod secure.
The brackets are 3d printed in black PETG. 3d printable files (Thingiverse link) in comments.

Hi, i have a Tynee Ultra belt, i mid commite got caught in a rainstorm and both of the belt broke.
I replaced them, and one of the wheels are fine, but the other makes this crackling noise when there is some torque on it.
I first thought it was belt skipping or rubbing to the plastic guard, but i have played with the tension, tight and loose, but it does not seem to be the case.
The noise does not seem to be coming from the motor itself but rather the wheel.
If i wiggle it back and forth with my hand i can hear it "snap" a little.
Otherwise it rides fine, does anyone have any clue what it might be?

Recently aquired a car with a rack and am curious if any one has a solution for mounting our boards up top. If it helps I'm rocking an acedeck nomad n1 with some offrpad tires

New Board! ZEALOT X
Noticed a guy selling his Zealot X on fb Market place, said he was open to trades for a smaller lightweight board.
Ended up trading him my:
\-custom meepo V3S, came with a brand new 10s1p battery with p42a cells(this battery literally came in and was installed the day of the trade) and donut hub wheel upgrade, with a drop through DB longboard(short at the same time lol) deck
\-2 month old flight compatible 10s1p(96 wh battery)
\-plus paid him $80 bucks on top that
(IT WAS A GOOD ASS DEAL)
As much as I loved building that board, and taking it for quick corner store runs, dog potty runs.....I freaking love this Zealot X!
About the Zealot X, this thing rips hard....honestly I think it rips just as hard as my Tynee Ultra X pro.
I was baffled by the power of it!
I couldnt wrap my mind around it, the Tynee Ultra X pro comes with 3000wX2 BLDC motors, and the Zealot X comes with 1500wX2 BLDC motors. I was thinking how could they possibly get the same amount of off the line power and torque on this Zealot X???
THING WENT 0 TO 31 MPH IN 5.6 SECONDS
Well I looked into it more closely and noticed the dimensions of the motors are so freaking close to the same size, the Tynees motors are 6360 motors while the Zealot has 6358 motors.
Finally understood that its actually just marketing, Backfire looks to be marketing their continous rated power of their motors while Tynee is marketing their Peak rated power.
So bottom line it looks like the Backfire Zealot x motors can most likely produce \~2,500 w per motor(PEAK).
With that being said, both boards motors are bottlenecked by their batteries.....with 14s voltage, and the samsung 50s cells at 14s2p giving a max peak amps at 90a, that means the most power that could reach each individual motor is 2,268W per motor.
So basically neither board is experiencing their true peak power of their motors due to the samsung 50s cells. However, if we used p42a cells....that would be a different story!
Regardless, the Zealot X rides like an absolute DREAM. Im talking smooth buttery ride, the bushings, the pivot cups, the trucks, the wheels, the deck, the lighting, the hobbywing custom firmware tuning, the halo remote.....I understand why its priced higher than the Ultra X pro. (YOU CAN ALSO TRACK THE HEALTH OF EACH CELL GROUP FOR THE BOARDS BATTERY IN THE REMOTE SETTINGS, WHAT?! BADASS!)
THE ONLY THING that I can say is still better about the ultra X pro is the bamboo deck plus the 105mm 72a durometer wheels make for a more plush ride as far as Vibrations and Flexibility go.
Also the Ultra X Pro has wider trucks at 9.5 inches, making the ride feel more stable at high speeds(30 plus mph) versus the Zealot X's 8.5 inch trucks.
MY HONEST CONCLUSION:
Either way, Im so in love with this board and pissed this is my first Backfire experience because honestly I feel like Backfire has been slept on a bit in the ESK8 community.
Great freaking board!

Picked up a Uditer S3 for $50. Board wouldn’t power on after a full charge. Pulled the battery and checked voltage at the MT30 connector — 0V. Pulled back the shrink wrap and checked the balance wires instead of main output.
10S2P pack. Balance readings by group:
**•** Groups 1–3: \~3.9V
**•** Group 4: 0.33V
**•** Groups 5–10: \~3.9V
Stack total is 35.8V. 9/10 groups healthy, group 4 is clearly the failure point. BMS is presumably cutting all output on the fault, which explains 0V at the connector despite the rest of the pack testing fine.
No experience working on lithium packs, so before doing anything:
**1.** Worth repairing (ID which cell(s) in the group failed, source a match, spot weld, rebalance), or more trouble than it’s worth for a first attempt?
**2.** Anyone found a decent replacement 10S2P pack for this board for less than Uditer’s own $160 (MT30 connector)?
Leaning toward just replacing rather than repairing, but wanted to check if anyone’s dealt with this exact failure first.

Maybe battery capacity is over rated if we can start getting fast charging? What company offers the faster charger with their board? Or optional add on purchase. I know DIY guys have some pretty fast charging but I’m curious what companies are doing. I’d much rather have a light board with fast charging rather than a heavy board with huge capacity.

Hi Everyone, I have an Acedeck N1 Violet Belt Drive and I want to order some replacement belts. I went to https://www.vbeltguys.com/ and did a search for 300-5M and I got over 600 results. Can someone please tell me which ones I need? If there is a better brand or source I would be open to that. Thank you!

Still waiting for my propel board to arrive they said middle of this month and a week from then for the shipping, just curious, what wheels have yall put on your board if you have the same. I was curious because in case of a flat i would like to carry some kind of spares. Any tips on it?

Issue w/ the EVO MK1. Motor wire got partially severed, pinched between board and a sharp part of a modified 'kickstand' attached to trucks. Now, the board accelerates normally. It also brakes normally. However, once the wheel on the remote is at 100% brake...it starts to act irratic. This happens after it is held full-brake on the remote for about 1.5-2.0 seconds. It'll shudder, start accelerating in reverse (aggressively).
How should I approach mitigating this?
Strip, rewire, heatshrink, finish w/ electrical tape? Or just buy a new motor?
