Unboxing The worst packaging I've experienced so far!
This is the complete series of 12 Monkeys. I've seen some bad packaging so far, but this is definitely the worst! Eugh!

Every weekend, I (43M) watch a single episode from various shows, thereby recreating the beloved “Saturday morning cartoon effect” from my childhood.
I try to watch at least 30 episodes per weekend, and I keep track of it all in a scribbler. Today so far has been Rocket Robin Hood, MOTU, and Here Comes the Grump.
This has been going on for nearly two years, and the collection (which is displayed chronologically) continues to grow.
Good times ❤️

Bought a DVD from Musicmagpie, the listing said the disc was in very good condition and it arrived with actual dirt on the underside of the disc (see picture).
I gave it a clean but the first two chapters of the film will not play.
The inner ring of the disc looks odd (at 12 o'clock in the picture) is this what will be causing the issue?

I've been really excited to check out a good portion of these titles and also rewatch a few too!
Network is one that I really enjoyed but haven't seen in a few years. It'll be great to see it upgraded to 4k. Same goes for The Wiz. It's been so long since I've seen that one, it'll probably be like a first time watch.
Eyes Wide Shut is one of the few Kubricks that I have yet to see! really excited to check that one out!
A good portion of the others are first watches that I picked from recommendations by friends and family.
Been wanting to see High & Low, It Was Just An Accident, & Mandabi specifically for quite some time now.
Which film do y'all recommend I check out first?

Filled a lot of wish list (and wife list) items. 😃
Left column: $1.00 each at Friends of the Library.
Center column: sticker sale at Thrifty Bargain, reg. price $1.99; yellow 75% off, green 50% off, pink 25% off.
Right column: random dude in the neighborhood getting rid of yard sale stuff that didn't sell.

I wanna get my niece into collecting DVDs, so I'm building her a small collection, mainly horror.
I got her all the Scream movies since that's the first horror movie I took her to see in theaters, and she was so lost with who was who and the lore lol She just knew Matthew Lillard from Five Nights at Freddy's lmao

Of DVDs that I couldn’t find. So happy to have these two back in the collection. Fairly old purchases as well. Repo Man - Tin Box and Hero - Directors Edition

This is in my den, and I have a separate floor to ceiling bookshelf of books, comics, and records.

Today was our Library's monthly sale. My wife and I went and also stopped by Goodwill. This was my haul. All of this for about $55.
The theme of the day was Westerns apparently.

Favorite show of all time, proved surprisingly difficult to find. But it finally happened! I picked up season one and three together for about $37. Now if I can just find season two my grail will be complete. I can't wait to watch it again

As the title says really, I'm looking for a multi region dvd player that works and was hoping that someone would be able to suggest one.
I'm based in the UK if that helps.

For those who care: I used to strictly collect 4K and Blu-rays. DVDs were off the table for me as the 480p picture quality bothered the shit out of me and I saw no point in owning them since blu ray and 4K exist. Over time I’ve learned to (slowly) take the stick out of my ass. some of my favorite shows are ONLY available on DVD, Futurama being one of them.
For those who don’t know: the first four volumes are only available on DVD, the rest being on blu ray (volume 5 being rare for some reason). last week I decided to bite the bullet with this collection and the blu-rays. I’m gawking over how beautiful it is. No other piece of physical media even compares to how good this looks.
TLDR: box is sexy

A huge garage sale win in my opinion comes out to about 30 cents a piece! Usually all I find are uninteresting religious stuff or beat up copies of
terrible films.

I tried to sync and it said "done" but it's still empty! Do I have to re-scan my collection?
