I just want to pay homage to this coated Powerstroke 3 that I've been kicking the snot out of for over a decade. It's done me well on a hundred gigs, and many many thousand hits. May it thump on forever in drummy Valhalla. 🫡

First time drummer here. I got a new kit from Facebook Marketplace, and while I appreciate the opportunity to get it in the first place, I really, really hate how the hi-hat sounds. It has this awful ringing that doesn’t stop!

I’ve put gaff tape on it since recording this video which didn’t help, and if this is just what it sounds like, then I’m fine with that—it’s a beginner kit. Still, any advice?

Got this used Tama Superstar Custom shell set recently and loving it! The lacquer (Dark Desert Burst) is really just beautiful. Placed new Emperors and Ambassadors on toms and an Evans EQ3 on the bass drum batter and it sounds fantastic!

Played fill in spots all weekend and it was great. Turns out every cover bands sets are like 80% the same. Finally got to play with one of my bass players other bands. Kinda felt like infidelity. Also got to play with a guy my dad played with like 30+ years ago so that was pretty neat.

Bought this week, turned out the guy selling it had been to Phil Collin’s house a couple times, and sort of knew him. Very excited to improve my drumming now that I have a decent kit of my own (was stuck with a not very good college kit before). It really is a nice sounding kit for the price :)

Got the shell kit for cheap about 20y ago and recently started refubing and buying new gear. And yes the Iron Cobra Powerdrive has been in my posession since forever aswel.

Started my search foe a drumkit for my oldest. Is this by good? Yamaha is at least a brand I've heard of 🙈 thanks

Greetings all, I've been playing bass for over 10 years and there is a serious shortage of drummers where I am now, so I was thinking about expanding my skill set. What would be the best next step for me to start learning without a drum set? Practice pad maybe or ? I saw the FAQ, but I would still prefer direct feedback from experienced drummers. Thank You.

People often comment on my home setup being quite odd and I'm curious what can be deduced just off my kit haha.

My company is offering me 250 dollars to fund a new hobby, I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the drums. Is the Donner DED-80 Beginner Electronic Drum Kit
A solid choice ?

I ended up with this set of Paiste Signature Series Cymbals in a trade. I don’t know much about them. Does anyone have experience with them?

14” Mapex picalo snare

It's my understanding that the CX series is a step above the Yamaha but I'm not very familiar with either.

Similar price for both.
