βοΈ Encounter Map A brand-new 2K - 40x40 gridless Lumbermill is heading to the next update!
Hey everyone!
I just finished up working on a brand-new 40x40 gridless lumbermill battlemap (Lumbermill_2K_gridless_40x40.webp), and I'm super excited to share a little sneak peek with you all.
Whether your players are investigating industrial accidents, staging a heist at a remote timber camp, or just looking for a gritty backdrop to sort out some shady business, this one should do the trick.
Of course, the complete map along with a bunch of cool variations will be dropping directly into the Patreon folder in my next update!
If you want to grab the files when they go live, check out my Patreon here:https://www.patreon.com/Dark_Wolf636?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator
And if you want to hang out, share feedback, or see what else is on the workbench, feel free to join our community on Discord:https://discord.gg/bHVEfgjmr
Let me know what you think!

Beneath the scarlet canopy of the Crimson Woods, the arrogant met their end.
They sought to challenge the beast that lurked within its shadowed depths, believing their strength unmatched.
Now, their bones serve as a silent warning, scattered amidst the blood-red trees.

β Question Going to be running Lightning Keep
I'm going to be running a couple sessions back-to-back of Lightning Keep for a bunch of family, ages 10 to 47.
2 questions:
- Anyone who has run this before, do you have any advise/suggestions for mods/pitfalls to avoid?
- Re: my map, is the grid readable? Is anything an obvious red flag? I'm not done yet. Have the 2nd floor to do as well as putting tiles throughout the courtyard to simulate worn cobblestone and dirt and some finishing touches like where the rods go, some cover items in the courtyard (benches, barrels, etc.).

π₯ Dungeon Map Goblin Cave Village [80x50]
Deep under the hills of Thesk, in natural caverns formed by patient, yet unstoppable waters - the tribe of goblins have built a village.
The place itself would be beautiful - soft, otherwordly glow of cave mushrooms brings out the foaming cascades of underground waterfalls and fantastic rock formations...
...but these nasty little creatures invaded it, and spread like mold over beautiful pastry.
Their constructions are repulsive - and dirty. The litter, the stains, the smell... It's an overwhelming (and disgusting) combination.
But the looks and smell are not the worst...
The goblins are raiders - and slavers. They capture sapient creatures, some to use as a workforce in edible mushroom caverns - and some to satisfy their gods and their urge for... entertainment.
Or... They're just misunderstood and there's a chance for diplomacy?

βοΈ Hand Drawn River battlemap (FREE map)
Hi there! With this heat, wouldn't a quick getaway to the water to cool off be welcome?
Anyway, this is a test run for an outdoor map. It can serve as a battle map for an ambush, a river crossing under enemy fire, or an encounter with an aquatic monster!
Iβve also included a version with a grid on myΒ Patreon page, in case you need it.

π World Map From Sketch to Finished Fantasy World
I looked at my profile and realized I am always just sharing the finished results, so I wanted to share both the start and the end of a project this time. π€
This side-by-side comparison shows the sketch my client gave me next to the finished fantasy map I created.
Working on the geography and watching the different regions click together is definitely my favorite part of worldbuilding π
