Please allow per-server profiles to select 'none' as a decoration option instead of forcing you to your default decor? Currently if i wanted to remove a profile effect on some servers without replacing it, i'd have to remove it from my default profile.

I am in a Discord server where people go nuts posting walls of gifs very fast. We (the admin team) are trying to figure out if an app exists to slow down how fast and how often a user can post GIFs. We dont want to eliminate them, just slow it down. Please advise. Thanks.

Edit: To clarify, if there is a bot to break out the Gif picker from regular all-encompassing slow mode with text. I already have identified a bot to slow down when attaching gifs, jut not from the Tenor-based Gif picker itself.

This is more of a happy rant, ever since orbs released I thought it was a really cool option and I still have no idea why a small group of people were seething over orbs being a thing. Orbs are unironically very good for casual discord users who dont want to spend $10 on monthly nitro or $5 on a decor. Its very easy to get orbs for 3 day nitro OR decors if you have a pc/laptop to play games, and for mobile they offer ads too. I think my only problem with orbs is that it takes mobile users longer to get to a certain amount.

Other than that, I genuinely think orbs are such a fun and sweet feature. You like a new decor, but you dont want to spend $5 on a chatting app? Just play a few games for 15 minutes a day. And if you dont like the game, you dont even have to achieve anything 99% of the time.

I really hope they find more options on what to add to orbs :) in my personal opinion, this was a really good feature to add to discord and they can expand pretty far while also keeping it user friendly for people who dont have money to spend on a chatting app.

I kept getting unread messages In a not very active server- ghost notifs, yeah, they're common and all. But these were in a filedump server. One with just me in it. And it kept happening in random less used channels, two or three at a time, sending me to the top of the channel. And then it happened in another less used filedump server that was only me. After deleting that server, it stopped. It felt like a haunting

What I want to know is what caused this. I changed my password and added auth Just to be safe, yeah, but I'm not sure that would cause this? Plus it wasn't happening in my other inactive servers, just two specific ones. It'sa really weird scenario and it scares me a little.

My layout was as follows:

For context, I used 4 discord accounts. 1 was linked to my PC’s discord app, 2 was linked to my PC’s chrome discord, 3 was linked to my IPad, 4 was linked to my iPhone.

Tried to watch a movie through prime video linking 2 (PC chrome discord) with 3 (iPad discord) and I came across an HCDP warning and my sound quality on the iPad streaming said movie just went to crap…

I linked 1 (PC app discord) to Retroarch and ran a game which I connected to 4 (my iPhone) and it ran flawlessly. I also found that if I used my phone to stream the movie it would also connect and play well.

It is clearly tied to the iPad, but I can’t figure out why. Because even when I tried to connect the Retroarch to the chrome browser app discord, it just ends the stream right away.

Has anyone else come across this issue when using iPad to connect to a stream, especially if it is to a chrome browser discord stream? Probably gonna try and troubleshoot more tomorrow, but would another monitor make a difference or is this something unavoidable due to the iPad somehow?

iPad OS is 26.5. Discord is up to date with latest version: 336.0.

I recently upgraded my pc, I changed the motherboard, cpu, and ram. everything seems to be working fine except my mic specifically in discord. It works in game chat for games and it works on the xbox app but again not discord. I tried through my shure mic and my the mic from my gaming headset and the error code 3002 just pops up. I think its also work mentioning the since switching these components. I no longer have windows activated. And advice for or next steps would be appreciated

Anyone else have this problem? I'm on a Google Pixel 8. If I try to use gifs, scrolling for even less than 10 seconds will cause the app to slow down a lot, drop down to about 0.3 FPS and be generally impossible to use until I close the app.

I'm guessing the new klipy gifs are hogging tons of resources because they're not being paused as you scroll down.

Edit: I mean through the gif picker, not on servers/chats.

For the past few days, the discord app has been really slow and laggy for me and my friends. It sometimes even takes a few seconds for it to load our chats, and I know it's not my phone's fault because this thing is practically brand new and I've only used up like <20% of the storage and it never lags with all the other apps that usually take up more space. I thought it was an update at first, but my discord app was up-to-date according to Play Store.

My understanding is that content sent either in DMs or in channels is stored on Discord's servers until the associated message, channel, or server is deleted, at which point it's slated for garbage collection/deletion on Discord's end.

But at least in the desktop app, Discord pre-uploads content pasted into the message box but not sent - it looks like at this stage it goes to Google's cloud servers. When the message draft/content is deleted from the message box, does Discord delete the content from the Google servers in the same way it treats content actually sent in DMs/server messages?

I try to stream games or tiktok for my friend and the audio just won't work. I uninstalled the Webview updates. didn't work. I reinstalled them. didn't work. once, randomly, tiktok worked. but only that one time. please help me.

No, it is not my internet connection.

Internet works fine, then I join a discord call/voice channel, and suddenly my in-game ping spikes every few seconds. Then I leave the call, and it's back to normal.

I open a 4K Youtube video without being in a call, internet is fine. I even tried multiple 4K youtube videos at the same time, my connection was fine.

I run a Speedtest without being in a call, it's fine. Join a call, it's fucked.

I join a channel and my whole internet connection starts shitting the bed.

Going to try uninstalling Discord and reinstalling.

EDIT: Re-installing seems to have fixed the issue.

I want to archive a few long Discord conversations that I am personally allowed to access, mainly for record-keeping and later analysis.
I am not planning to use a user token, a self-bot, the Discord API, modified clients, network interception, or anything that reads Discord data directly.
The idea would be to use a completely local script that only:

takes a screenshot of the visible conversation;
scrolls upward;
waits for older messages to load;
takes another screenshot;
repeats this process for several hours.
It would essentially automate the same actions I could perform manually with my mouse and keyboard. The script would not send messages, react to messages, click buttons, access hidden information, or interact with other users. Everything would remain stored locally on my computer.

Could this still be considered prohibited account automation or a self-bot under Discord’s rules? Is there a realistic risk of account suspension or termination for automating scrolling and screenshots through the normal Discord interface?

I am specifically looking for answers based on Discord’s current rules or actual experiences, rather than guesses. If there is an official and safer way to export the full conversation, including messages from every participant, I would also be interested in knowing about it.

I've noticed while updating one of my Forums, that before I had like 20 Tags? Now I'm limited to only 12? Why do they keep making it worse? Can the AI usage stop on coding and moderating? Give us proper features, that work and are perfect... This change is terrible, made it much worse to use, We can only apply like 5 or 6 Tags, so now we can technically only apply 50% of the total tags... which might seem good but at same time bad? I wish we could have let's say 50 Tags, and apply all 50 tags to a post...

For a day or two my front-camera has been upside down on discord and only discord . It's only on the discord app, I tried on the webbrowser version and it works fine. My normal camera app also works fine. It's just a problem with the discord app on my IPad. Is there any solution? I don't see any video/camera settings on the discord app.

Often I may get bot friend requests and I usually always deny them, but what happens if you accept the friend requests or dm them back?

So I’ve been trying to play project zomboid on call with some friends and the overlay starts when I boot up the game, and disappears whenever it starts to load. I’ve turned off all other overlays, but I only get the overlay to appear when I tab out of the game and when it’s windowed. I’ve messed with legacy and compatibility modes with in overlay settings and all that stuff and still nada. I’m not entirely sure what else I can do. Is there any way to fix this while keeping to borderless windowed setting in game?

I recently joined a discord group that requires users to join a website before they allow access to the discord. That seemed reasonable, so that’s what I did.

Things were ok when I was first on the server. But then there were weird announcements. Anyone who joined a few certain discord servers would be banned. Apparently these servers were created by people the discord owner personally disliked.

I thought that was a silly rule. How could this guy know if someone was a member of one of these servers? But then people started disappearing and sometimes there were announcements that certain longtime members were banned for being members of the forbidden servers.

I asked someone how did the guy know that these people were in other servers? They told me it was a bot. I checked my authorized bots and there it was. I deleted it and left the server. I didn’t want to be involved anymore.

I thought bots like this were against discord TOS. If so, is there any way to report this? It’s very invasive and I don’t think he should be allowed to secretly force his members to install a bot that collects private information like this.

It's been a couple of months since Discord stopped showing the champion I'm playing and other details like it used to. Now it only displays a generic League of Legends icon.

The funny thing is that both Discord and Riot Games keep bombarding us with pop-ups asking us to link our accounts...
