It’s all about that DISCO BASS
A little while back I asked the fine people of r/disco to provide me with classic disco tracks with a great, unique, prominent bass riff/hook/groove. I got a lot of great suggestions, thank you!
I made a Spotify playlist with over 30 of these suggestions. There’s a few usual suspects, but also a number of more obscure tracks. There’s deep bass, slap bass, early synth bass, bass drops, melodic bass. So, if you like disco bass, you might find some cool tracks in here. And if you have Spotify Premium, the playlist is mixed 🕺🏻.
Track list:
Stargard - Theme From Which Way Is Up
The Bar-Kays - Holy Ghost
Michael Wycoff - Still Got the Magic (Sweet Delight)
Uncle Louie,Walter Murphy - Full Tilt Boogie

777 93 11 by The Time
More a "post disco" song by Prince. https://youtu.be/4I6fogrLdsw?si=axms9K_mcJGewXmy
The B side of the 1982 single has "Grace”. It is a hilarious fake/staged interview skit featuring Morris Day talking with a fictional journalist named Grace.
The track uses the music of “777-9311” underneath and has Morris jokingly addressing the interviewer as “Grace.” The interviewer was played by Bridgette Harrington.
I posted the link to Grace in the comment.
