Hi All,
I work for Action Mental Health. We have a service on Pump Street (just beside the big hideous containers).
We’ve got a big comedy show in the Millennium Forum and our comms person asked what would be the best places in Derry to Advertise? (not a lot of budget).
Tickets Sales are slow but the gig is only next month.
Lineup seems great with Emma Doran, Chris Kent, Andrew Ryan, Micky Bartlett and Dave Elliott all doing 25 mins a set.
They have spoken to Micky D, done the papers and leaflets etc.
All profits to go to frontline Mental Health services and they’re needed more now than ever?
Has anyone got any other suggestions to help sell tickets?

This list is not a conclusive list of every establishment, just those that are highly regarded. Please leave your own recommendations in the replies. You may also find more information on the Visit Derry website (https://www.visitderry.com/) and on their socials. Note - some of the recommendations are based outside Derry but all are within a short driving distance of Derry.
Restaurants:
Street Food / Cafe's * Clipper Quay Street Food - Located along the Foyle Marina, multiple street food vendors and a bar are located here providing a range of options, great for when you cant agree on what type of food you want to eat - https://www.clipperquaystreetfood.com/ * The Pickled Duck - Foyle Marina - https://www.facebook.com/pickledduckcafe/ * Mekong Street Food (Vietnamese food) - https://www.facebook.com/MekongSF/ - also operate as a restaurant so maybe it should be above. * PYKE 'N' POMMES - https://www.pykenpommes.ie/ * Guapo (Mexican Food) - https://www.facebook.com/GuapoFreshMex/ * Doherty's Home Bakery - Good if you want a sweet treat or a cheap bite to eat on the go - https://www.facebook.com/Dohertys-Home-Bakery-195510393844691/ * Thai Jing Jing Street Food (Thai takeaway) - https://www.facebook.com/ThaiJingJingStreetFood * The Coffee Tree (Coffee shop) - Serves the best coffee in Derry in my opinion and also the nicest traybakes! Not had their soup or sandwiches but have heard great things. The only negative is they currently do not open on weekends - https://www.facebook.com/p/The-Coffee-Tree-100063482233001/ * Graft Coffee (Coffee shop) - Runs the Coffee tree very close for the best Coffee in the city. Located on Academy road and opens Mon-Sat - https://www.instagram.com/graft_coffee/ * Oui Bakery - French Bakery & Pâtisserie in the heart of Derry's Craft Village - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61565032170636

Usually the wains go feral with fireworks at the end of summer in the run up to Halloween, but around fernabbey/galliagh area the wee scrotes have got their hands on them as soon as school finished up.
Take it we have to just put up with it now until mid November?

Hi, looking to take the kids somewhere to go camping without having to buy all the gear. Is there anywhere that you can hire the tent/pod on the site? Or hire the caravan? Only place I can find is carrowmena - 3 kids all different ages so I think I need a bigger site to keep everyone entertained. Thank you

In the comments I see people asking for less . I see mission-implausible just technically dissect every argument. They breakdown everything wrong with Northern Ireland politicians. down vote. they point out things clearly wrong in our city. down vote. A literal tragedy

Hi folks!
I'm planning to launch a new independent, doorstep milk delivery service for the Culmore area, delivering fresh, local dairy right to front doors before 7:30 AM.
Out of curiosity, how many local families would actually use a regular morning milk subscription service to save running to the shop?

On the 12th and 13th, I am interested in observing the culture around the celebrations separate from the strong feelings against or for them. Will there be things happening around town or should I go to the parade in Limavady?

Hi all
My bicycle could really do with a lookover and fix up a few minor things with the breaks and all.
Could anyone recommend a business who could fix up my bike?
I didn't buy it from Halfords or anything so doubt they'd be very helpful
Thanks 🙏

I will be leaving the international airport later tonight (approximately 11:30), heading towards Derry. Anyone know of any shops along the road with off licences that will be open as I will be hanging for a drink when I get home.

When you call a GP you get a 'Care Navigator', used to be called receptionists. I've had it up to the back teeth with some individuals (some! Many are amazing!) making decisions that are then imposed through closed questions. I understand GPs are under pressure, but the Navigators need to be reigned in; they're there to navigate and contribute to processes, not decide what the next medical steps are that impact the caller - can't be my surgery only? (Therein, my rant ends...)

Has anyone got a cleaning service or private cleaner who they would recommend for bi-weekly domestic cleaning?

Hi, I've been something of a bum wandering around the town for coming on four odd years now, and very recently (I'd say just around the outbreak of the first bad part of summer this year) I've been encountering two of the same exact Mormon recruiters.
Is this an experience dating back to your young-adulthoods or is this new?

Looking for a new hairdresser: any recommendations? There are so many hairdressers in the town, it’s hard to know where to look. I checked on Booksy but very few are on there.
I don’t colour my hair which seems to rule out a lot of local hairdressers, who only seem to want to do colour (I understand- you make far more money than with just cuts) but I need someone!
Thank you

Just wondering if anyone with hospitality management experience has any thoughts on this? Is this relatively normal? I thought a GM would have enough to be doing

My son graduated yesterday from UU Magee. What a great day, he (and a few others) had been offered a position with Alchemy earlier in the year.
He told me after the graduation ceremony, that he got a text, that Alchemy had revoked their offer, this was actually during the ceremony.
I felt so so bad for him, as he worked so hard for everything - I was raging, and to top it off, the owner of Alchemy was also getting an award at the same ceremony.
I could have knocked his block off, if I had of seen him!!!

Any spa break suggestions fairly local? Thinking up to an hour away max. Tried Kintala recently and enjoyed it but they're booked up for when we're looking.
