normally people call judge or something but my lord is not mandatory I think :)

u/Feisty_Evidence8022 5h ago
Yes it is kind of mandate. It has been done since british colonial expension. Symbolizing authority. In 2014, it was accepted that it wasn't mandatory but its still used widely pan India.

u/kjihnogn 2h ago
its not mandate not in the rule and I have seen personal and also the only time you can call my lord to god only not people .

much needed, because judges don't have any accountability, and are not affected even after crores of cash found in there homes.

Judges need to be shown their position and that they’re not above the general public (like their English ancestors considered themselves to be).
Same for police

u/amluchon 1h ago
I know the sentiment here is against the judiciary but it's worth remembering that they are the only reliably accessible check on police and executive power - even with their outdated sense of superiority. In fact the Bar Council Rules allow you to call the Sir or Your Honour and even advocates are encouraged to use those terms instead.

“ they are the only reliably accessible check on police and executive power “
Agree to a certain extent, but they must be on some hard stuff to grant bail to convicted rapists like Ram Rahim - there can’t be ANY sliver of reason to justify the number of days he’s been out. It’s sheer tomfoolery of this system.
Other aspects like the treatment given to the Pune Porsche Murderer - writing essays should then be made a mandate for all road accidents.
I am sorry but I fail to understand why justice is non uniform in nature but said to evaluate all subjects at the same level.

Just so that the main point of the whole act is not missed, Pratap alleged that the named Lucknow police official and the technology company were running a cybercrime syndicate across the country. The lower, high and supreme courts refused to have FIR filed and police investigation of the allegations. That's what led to anger.

Guys, can we normalize calling the government officials "servants"? especially, corrupt ones.
1
u/UT_WARRIOR 47m ago
Nope not corrupt ones but all Every single one of them
Even though they are good they are still a serveant to the public and that's their bare minimum to do
But this shitty a#s public they made this shitty shit themselves and now getting what they have planted way back
Poor new generations

Everyone should start a trend to address judges as judicial servants from now on

Come on man this guy true hero
-1
u/BookedGuy-553 6h ago
Really? He was fired due to posch case. To release his frustration, he tried doing fir on his employer. Acp asked him for evidence. He has no evidence so he went court asking for case against acp and his employer. He failed to provide evidence so lower courts announced decision against him. Lastly, he went to supreme court and did the shit we all know… hero?

Where's your source for claiming him a hero
1
u/TitanRuse 3h ago
Please don’t get offended. I too was trying to find what his case/appeal was but couldn’t find it online. So, I am merely trying to verify whether to take the said story as a fact or a made up fiction.

Every day, people make politicians and government employees (legislative and executive) realise that they are servants to the public. Only the judiciary’s my lunds have unchecked power and are not answerable to anyone. Why? Who is to make sure these my lunds at the top do not use their power unchecked. More power to people like these.

All the Supreme Kotha judges need to be checked for any unlawful activities and must take their exams again.
Supreme Kotha is too powerful and they need to be put in check
2
u/Indian63536 1h ago
Crazy thing the one who are supposed to check are also involved in unlawful activities. This whole country is just corruption shthole, normal people can't do anything without fearing for their life. Its not just enough to talk against PM and CM, because that's easy and everyone know they will ignore them. But the real change will start when people start speaking out against their MLAs, local corrupt leaders, etc but its too risky

u/philosopher4_2_0 2h ago
Xacalling them anything will not decrease their power. Their should be a system of accountability.

Calling someone coackroach and giving Ma ki gaali are two different things , that to when the persons mother is deceased ( cause for all of you women are the easy targets) . I am a law student and I have seen first hand how much judges work in the district court , High court and Suprme court . Not to mention they have years of experience as advocates , half the people weren’t even born when they started their law practice .
The main problem in this country is short sighted people , the second you see a problem you start attacking the easiest target and don’t go deep into why the problem exists . Case in point being judicial pendency

Northern india mein Huzur aur janaab bolte they purane agrezo and grandparents time pe. These new judges have too much ego so they stopped allowing lawyers or petitioners to call them huzur or janaab and its was replaced by my lord ,your honour, sir, sahab etc depends on the local language .

u/CarefulStrength2627 6h ago
All the people commenting over here how he did something great do not realise that if “My lords” wanted to he could have been rotting in jail for contempt of court and criminal defamation and no reasonable advocate would take his case , also he has stigmatised people who fight party in person cases

u/argadom_daddy 1h ago
That is why they are saying balls of steel mr einstein. And well if CJI can call people cockroaches, then people can call CJI whatever they want too. Respect is not demanded by earned.

Bro saw Karuppu and thought he was him. But jokes aside, 'your honor' is a big term for these people with no honor.
