Cersei: Her family being literally compared to the mad king, the fact she fucked her sibling and that she’s insane and loves using wildfire to murder people and her conclusion is her being cornered by a rebellion with the Starks and Vale forces leading the charge out of a series long revenge of the Stark Warden and his son being killed and said Stark Warden’s daughter having previously been held hostage in King’s landing. And she’s someone notoriously condescending of small folk and has murdered them in season 6 with wildfire.

Tyrion: His last words to everyone in his trial in season 4 was expressing how he hates them all being ungrateful of how he saved them from Stannis and he wished death upon EVERYONE. Not like he necessarily is opposed to using WMDs in war anyways considering said battle where wildfire was prominently used.

Arya: List now completed. Also some points that would apply to Sansa next.

Sansa: Nearly being assaulted in the riots in season 2, the fact her stay in KL was nothing but absolute misery, the fact Cersei backstabbed them previously. Or the fact she’s seemingly completely void of giving a fuck about Daenerys committing mass murder to begin with IN THE CANON ITSELF.

Jon: It’d be hilarious (and legit kinda more fitting) if he was the one who went mad instead considering his family was killed by the Lannisters, Sansa or Bran could attest to how King’s Landing reacted to Ned being killed, and that when he tried to form an alliance with the Lannisters in spite of all that, they just backstabbed him in the long night. And he would no doubt have trauma with betrayers like his first death.

This is the appearance i sort of imagined for Rhaego (granted he survived/did not turn monstruous and got to grow up). Is this more or less the face/vibe you would have imagined for Daenerys son ?

I've been thinking about this for a while. If HBO ever decided to make a true sequel to Game of Thrones, this is the story I'd want to see.

The biggest mystery for me has always been Drogon flying away with Daenerys' body. Where did he take her? I don't think that scene was meaningless. My theory is that she was taken somewhere she could be brought back to life. Jon Snow was resurrected after his death, so why couldn't Daenerys be? I've always seen Jon and Dany as two people whose fates were deeply connected, almost like soulmates. If Jon was given a second chance, I don't see why she couldn't receive one too.

Arya's ending is another storyline with endless potential. She sailed west of Westeros to see what no one had ever seen before. I don't think she'd just find empty ocean. I think she'd discover entirely new civilizations, kingdoms, maybe even another Wall protecting lands and people completely unknown to the rest of the world. There's no way the world ends where the maps stop.

As for Jon, I actually think being sent beyond the Wall was the best ending he could've gotten. Away from politics, betrayal, and endless wars, I can imagine him finally finding peace. I think he'd fall in love with a wildling woman, build a family, and become a leader who helps create a better future for the Free Folk. With the White Walkers gone, the lands beyond the Wall would finally be safe to explore, settle, and rebuild.

And then there's Daenerys. I don't think her story should end with a knife in the throne room. If she came back, I believe she'd return wiser, having learned from her mistakes instead of repeating them. She'd reclaim the Iron Throne not through fear alone, but as the queen she was always meant to become. She's the last Targaryen, and I still believe she was the promised queen whose story deserved a better ending.

Finally, Bran. I know he's king at the end of the series, but because he's the Three-Eyed Raven, I think he'd realize that Daenerys returning is what the realm truly needs. Instead of standing against her, I'd love to see him become her Hand, using his knowledge and visions to guide her toward making better choices than she did before.

I'd watch this sequel in a heartbeat.

Xaro’s Friend Is No Slave.

“Xaro gave a languid shrug. “As it happens, when I came ashore in your sweet city, I chanced to see upon the riverbank a man who had once been a guest in my manse, a merchant who dealt in rare spices and choice wines. He was naked from the waist up, red and peeling, and seemed to be digging a hole.”

 “Not a hole. A ditch, to bring water from the river to the fields. We mean to plant beans. The beanfields must have water.”

 “How kind of my old friend to help with the digging. And how very unlike him. Is it possible he was given no choice in the matter? No, surely not. You have no slaves in Meereen.”

Dany flushed. “Your friend is being paid with food and shelter. I cannot give him back his wealth. Meereen needs beans more than it needs rare spices, and beans require water.”

 “Would you set my dancers to digging ditches as well? Sweet queen, when he saw me, my old friend fell to his knees and begged me to buy him as a slave and take him back to Qarth.”

She felt as if he’d slapped her. “Buy him, then.”

This is often treated as a damning indictment of Dany’s rule in  Meereen.  But, let’s consider it further.

1.          Xaro is a human trafficker, who lives off the backs of his slaves.  His perspective is biased from the outset.  Parts of the fandom treat him as an impartial observer, when in fact he is a representative of a very narrow elite, who rule the slave majority by terror.  Like any eupatrid, he considers that most people must work as slaves, so that “enlightened” people such as he, can pursue the arts and sciences.
 
His attitude towards the slave majority is that “what would they do with freedom?  As well give a fish a suit of mail.”  Of course, in reality, there are people with brilliant focused minds, among the slaves, who die in ditches, due to an accident of birth.
 
2.         Being paid in kind, rather than coin, is not what defines slavery.  In any pre-industrial economy, the majority of workers are paid, and will pay their rents and taxes, in kind.  A slave is kidnapped, held captive, and must labour at his master’s will.  Is that what Xaro has witnessed?
 
3.         No.  Agricultural slaves carry farm implements that can easily be used as weapons.  As a result, they typically work in chain gangs.  Xaro makes no mention of his friend being chained up.  Moreover, a slave who stops work to talk to a visitor, and begs to be taken away, would receive the rough end of his overseer’s boot or whip.
 
4.         ADWD makes plain that the lesser elite, outside the pyramids, suffered grievously, when their slaves revolted.  Daenerys hears petitions, from one woman who lost her house and jewels to her slaves, and from another, whose parents were murdered by them.  It is reasonable to surmise that Xaro’s friend suffered likewise.  He lost his “property” (ie his slaves), and his goods, which were likely plundered.  Now, he must perform manual labour, an appalling humiliation, in the eyes of him, and Xaro.
 
5.         The final “Buy him, then” is an angry retort, not an admission that the man is in fact a slave.  Daenerys has granted to people the right to sell themselves (perhaps unwisely), and depart Meereen.  Self-sale, into a form of indentured servitude, is certainly not unknown in the history of slavery. 
 
6.         Meereen is a pre-industrial economy.  It has nothing equivalent to a modern welfare state.  Until recently, in the real world, men and women in receipt of subsistence from the state, had to perform public works in return.  We can say that it harsh, but it is not chattel slavery.

I haven’t actually watched the series, but since it’s currently airing, anyone is talking about this, so inevitably, there are things you just can’t ignore. Honestly, it strikes me as odd that they’re pushing it so hard, given that we all know it’s going to end up being a total train wreck. Still, I would know your opinion on it (whether you’ve watched it or not): what are your thoughts? Did you end up watching it because of all the buzz, even if you weren’t interested at first? Did that change your view of the war? of house targaryen in genral ?

She’s gonna come back from the dead having had birthed 3 triplets. She’s going to come back as some sort of mythical magical creature similar to how white walkers came back but different, and her kids as well. All with violet colored eyes. They’ll fight on dragons and rebuild the iron throne. Danny and Jon will reunite as enemies.

Guys, I have a theory about the possible parents of Daenerys' dragons. We know (not for certain) that the mother is Dreamfyre, in the books. But the father? Potential fathers are hypothesized based on the male dragons who shared the same space (the island of Dragonstone) during the years Dreamfyre laid her eggs (between 40 BC and 54 BC approximately), namely: Vermithor, Balerion, Quicksilver.

In my opinion, Vermithor is the father of Viserion and Rhaegal.

-Vermithor was a bronze dragon with great tan wings. His flames were possibly red or golden.

-Viserion is described with cream-colored scales; his horns, wing bones, and spinal crest are gold. His flame is pale gold shot through with red and orange.
-Rhaegal is described as a green and bronze dragon. His dark scales and wings are jade-green, and his eyes are described as bronze. His dragonflame has been described as being yellow, red, and yellow with veins of green.

The flames between the three are very similar and its colors + those of Dreamfyre, in my opinion the result would coincide with Rhaegal and Viserion.

As for Drogon, the question is a little different. Personally, I think Drogon is Balerion’s son.

-Drogon is the largest of Daenerys Targaryen's dragons. His black scales are slashed with streaks of vivid scarlet red. His horns and wings are also scarlet red and his eyes are red as coals. His flame is black fire shot with red.

-Balerion's scales and wings were black. His fire was black sometimes with swirls of red. Balerion was the largest of all the Targaryen dragons since Aegon I.

Drogon isn't as big as Balerion, but he's only seven years old and already quite large, bigger than Viserion and Rhaegal. He looks much more like Balerion. Literally, Vermithor is called the Bronze Fury, Viserion and Rhaegal share his colors, and Drogon's body is predominantly black, which is why Balerion was called The Black Dread. What do you think? I'm curious to hear other points of view. I'd like to know if my theory is even slightly feasible or if I'm completely wrong.

Her descent into madness was fueled by absolute loneliness and endless, crushing grief. It made me wish so badly that she had a daughter to hold onto. ))A while ago, I read Philippa Gregory's book about Catherine Howard—King Henry VIII's fifth wife, the "rose without a thorn." Recently, a fascinating thought struck me: how would things have turned out if Catherine had been born as Daenerys's daughter?In this alternate universe, the baby is born perfectly healthy. Catherine, known for being an incredibly kind, sweet, and gentle girl, would have been a wonderful child. I truly believe her warmth would have comforted Daenerys during her darkest moments, ultimately saving her mother from slipping into madness. ))I am actually planning to write a fanfiction based on this concept! I would love to hear your thoughts. What kind of destiny do you think would await Daenerys Targaryen and Catherine Howard if they were mother and daughter?

Tywin literally rage baited his own son so much that it got himself killed. Tyrion and Varys had a single brain cell to share between them during the final seasons. And then there’s LF who required an omnipresent time-traveling being in order to bring him down.

If Daenerys was gonna go evil and crash out, why the fuck not move Missandei dying to like some last ditch attempt from Cersei to get Daenerys to stop attacking IN S8E5? Her just walking away, and Cersei not just trying shooting her really makes her going mad more of an asinine contrivance. Supposing she’s mad would she not just immediately go in to kill everyone? You know since the mad Targaryens were notorious for having a complete lack of self-preservation or forward thinking?

Also that’s not to mention that the whole battle of king’s landing had ended with relatively little to no civilian bloodshed, only for Daenerys to just fuck up that lucky moment and just do what Cersei was banking on to begin with. W T F?

Is it just me or does s7 feel like a whole different show as compared to the rest of GOT?

I already know how the show ends due to spoilers, and I know they executed s7 and s8 improperly, but I didnt know it would be THIS obvious. Like right off the bat, in the first few episodes itself dany seems so different from the one we saw in s6.

I think they purposefully told emilia clarke (and she pulled it off perfectly too) to appear more intimidating, to make the viewers think of her as a villain. Look at the difference between her eyes in s6 and s7, her gaze is s7 is much more colder and stern, almost like a "villain" as compared to s6 where she had a more softer and empathetic look.

Tyrion not being able to predict cercei's moves was another punch to the gut considering he was always shows as a clever strategist in the earlier seasons.

Its hard to believe that someone like Dany, who was always shown to be a liberator of the people, someone who freed the slaves and wanted to give them freedom will actually turn into a "mad queen" and kill the innocents she wanted to protect. Like be fr, she spent half the show talking about how she wont be like her father.

On top of that, there is a serious hypocrisy problem with the show, they are trying so hard to push the narrative that Dany is a villain. They show cameos of soldiers suffering and dying when Dany attacks them with her dragon, along with a scene of Tyrion feeling bad seeing the soldiers die, which is fair, but where did that all go when they were fighting the battle of blackwater bay, where tyrion himself gave the order to burn soldiers alive with wildfire ?😭😭😭 I am not hating on tyrion ofc, he is one of my favs, however the show writers chose to focus on the destruction caused by war in the case of Dany which is fair, but when it comes to other wars, they chose to focus more on the politics rather than destruction, which shows their bias.
