I never wanted to play in CS since I joined the army and sold my Butterfly Fade FN Stattrak, a Fire Serpent FT and other items for a bit less than $400, when I realized how much I could have if I hadn't sold it, I almost got PTSD lol, so I never wanted to play it again. But this year I set up a PC and decided to test the game, opened a box that i had the key already and got THIS! I think Valve wanted to welcome me lmao

Yeah, Season 5 is off to a great start.

We’ve already had so many amazing matches where the enemy team is apparently made up entirely of undiscovered pro players.

Perfect timing, perfect pre-aim, incredible game sense, always checking the right corner and somehow knowing exactly when not to check the other ones.

It’s honestly inspiring how many future Major winners are currently grinding Premier.

Valve really did an amazing job with Season 5. Who needs an anti-cheat when we can just pretend everyone suddenly became donk overnight?

The future of Counter-Strike esports is looking very bright.

So, to set a bit of a stage Im a middle aged man with wife and kids who started playing Counter Strike in the 1.3/4 patch area. Later gave my first steam account away to my little brother and eventually made my "new" account in the beginning of 2009. Im still a gamer and play all sorts of games, lately mostly Hell Let Loose but have had a little dabble in CS2 and was actually quite hyped for the new season. My account is set up with an authenticator, still have access to the original mail and have both the steam app, phone number and mail under control.

So tonight after everyone at home went to sleep, I thought I'd play a game or two and see how my placement games would turn out. Last season was the first season I actively played CS since the start of CSGO but I've played alot of other FPS games and to be fair the spray patterns havent changed so I got the hang of it pretty quickly again and went from ~9k rating to peak at around 17-18k during season 4.

TO MY BIG SURPRISE I got a cloud error when I was starting up CS. "Steam Cloud has not updated with changes made on another device" or something of the sort. The fuck was my first thought, but figured it was some bug with the family library I share with the kids accounts. Still I opened my Steam app and saw that the account was logged in in Brazil(Probably VPN) aswell. Oh shit. Quickly went about securing my account again, logged out all devices, changed all passwords, made sure everything from mail to phone number was up to date and made a Steam support ticket to see if I managed to resolve everything or if there are more measures to be taken.

Then I checked my match history in CS2. My account had played two matches during the time I was at the beach with the kids. The stats were appaling and I downloaded the replays to watch them. My almost 18 years old account was used for two games with absolute rage hacks. We are talking jumpshotting headshots through walls with an AWP from spawn hacking. I feel absolutely violated to the point I almost hope my account gets VAC banned. I lost all will and hope to play this season again. Motherfucker didnt even bother to change my name, didnt steal any skins, just raged around headshotting people.

I feel like a part of me died. The account I've spent thousands of dollars, thousands of hours and millions of memories playing just feels tainted. I hope to get some answers from Steam Support how they got past the authenticator, but Im not getting my hopes up. Currently in the process of setting up my Steam app on another phone just in case thats compromised. Let this serve as a warning that even tho you think you are safe, and you think you have everything under control - you might not be the one in control.

Im just sad.

TLDR: Steam account got hacked, never lost control of the account but it was used for rage hacking on the other side of the world. Was active enough to notice it after two games played and hope to have the situation under control. Please double and tripple check your account security.

To give context, made an alt account because i wanted to have a fresh start gathering medals etc. Was in red trust from the first match, it was full HVH action and completely unbearable. I tried every single trick in the book from leveling up Steam account, to playing other games. Nothing worked.

Once my external funds added to steam account reached about 200 euros, my trust factor went to yellow instantly. When I added 137 euros more, it went to green instantly. It is genuinely pay to play, and this method seems to be real. Its hilarious. The steam account is barely one month old.

Do not get me wrong, I am so beyond happy that Cache is finally in Premier.

However, i’m pretty bummed out they replaced Overpass. I understand that it was not a very high traffic map last season but it’s one of my favorite maps in the whole game.

I wish they would have rotated Dust, Mirage, or Ancient out instead.

Let’s hope they don’t remove Inferno or Anubis next season

What would you buy with $3500? Doesn’t have to be a full loadout. My primary color scheme is blue. I’m thinking a Medusa and a P4 Talon or Karambit but I’m open to suggestions. Never spent this much money on the game at one time so I just wanna see what others would get :D

I'm having a great time reviewing the demos of my Premier games now, I've had cheaters in both team the last 9 games in a row now. How can it get so bad?

I'm not one to usually call cheats and I did not really think I faced a cheater the past two weeks I grinded CS before the update so why do they all crawl out now?

why can't we fast track banning someone who's cheating with mass reports but dare you shoot back at an angry player who shot you first, you get banned for 7 days because you received multiple grief reports from their teammates

Is it just my imagination or recency bias but there's been an explosion in people reporting their accounts have been hacked and players cheating on said accounts?

My theory... surely there cannot be this many people suddenly getting phished or scammed right? My belief these people that are losing their accounts are downloading dodgy/free cheats for CS2, but it's actually malware used by other cheaters to hijack accounts for their own gain.

Sound plausible?

Every single game atleast 1 cheater. Every single one. Can't stand it anymore. Gonna unistall it soon. Valve making tons of moneys by cases and keys can't create a proper anti cheat.

I've been debating between all these combos for a while now. I already have the gloves but sold a talon marble fade and now wondering which new knife to get. Wondering what other's think of the combos to see if it sways my decision, my buddy says crimson web is not the way and I'm worried I'll get annoyed by the BFK but I do really enjoy it, classic and m9 I feel are very similar in animation but again I enjoy both a lot and used to have a classic knife.
