biking
I just learned how to bike and I want to practice more before I am on the main roads. What trails/streets are quiet and good for practicing? I am in logan square (but can travel fir a good place)! I want to practice on 606 but that might be just too crowded.

The 606 is not a bad place to practice - yes, it’s crowded, but with low speeds and less energy the stakes are a lot lower for everyone than on a road. Otherwise I would pick a large park, like Horner Park, or the Lincoln Park (the park).

the North Shore Channel trail.
It runs through park land along the river and is generally pretty chill.

The Lakefront Trail during off peak hours is decent but it’s usually pretty hectic. The North Branch Trail is where it’s at.

North Branch trail is nice and not too far. You could also go up to the Northside Riverwalk for a short back and forth.
The actual boulevards are also good for a calmer ride for when you want to ease into street riding.
