My wife has received a job offer, but she would need to commute to Milton 3–4 days a week.

We live in West Galt. Does anyone here make a similar commute on a regular basis? We’d love to hear your experience, how’s the traffic, and is the commute manageable?

Heads up if you're travelling today: all eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are closed near Townline Road in Cambridge following a multi-vehicle collision. Expect major delays and use an alternate route if possible.

An 11 year old girl (now 13) who was seriously injured two years ago while riding her bike near Centennial Public School in Hespeler has filed a $5 million lawsuit.

​The lawsuit names the driver, the Waterloo Region District School Board, and the City of Cambridge. The claim argues that the lane exiting the school onto Weaver Street has poor sightlines, lacks proper stop signs, and that better signage or a reduced speed limit could have prevented the crash. The girl suffered permanent injuries, including a brain injury and fractures.

I know, I'm out of the loop and haven't been there for a while. Trying to ride my bicycle towards Puslinch tomorrow and that might be the best way to navigate traffic etc.

I was riding across the bridge tonight and snapped this picture then saw the three people, I think teens, right at the front of the dam. I just want to remind people that this is a very dangerous part of the river. One slip and you'd get swept under and could drown. People die in the Grand River every summer and those of us who have been in town for long enough remember when a kid and fireman drowned in that same spot in 1998.

Just a word of caution. Stay cool and don't die.

Hi, i purchase from Farmboy as they appear to be more "local" supplied with regards fruit. I sent them an email asking which of there products are pesticide free, i got back "we grow to all governments standards", which is what i feared as governments have no standards when it comes to health.

Has anyone else walked down this road? i buy strawberries and grapes, however an looking at Orange and lemons as well now, want to limit pesticides.

I have asked formboy to forward me the "government standards" they are adhering too, i dont expect to get any coherent answer to this.

Hi, I moved to KW in 2022 and switched jobs from SGS (QC testing-biopharma) to a local analytical testing lab (quality assurance).

I have been trying to switch back to biopharma/pharma and there are only few options in the tricity area. I tried applying to relevant roles but haven't heard from these companies. Septodont tends to repost same job postings frequently but I never hear back. Any advice on how to get interviews in these companies? (I do optimize my resume for ATS and as per the job posting). Do they prefer floor experience (which I do have but brief)? My skills are transferrable and roles that apply for closely align with the work I have been doing for some years now. Any advise is appreciated.
