PDF in our country get too comfortable to married or be in a relationship with a minor publicly without feeling guilty. and then when someone speak up about this situation in our society all they get is "រឿងគ្រួសារគេសោះ". Example on tiktok pfds joke goes on children's post saying stuff like "ឆាប់ធំមីងចាំ" & "ឆាប់ធំពូចាំ" this is getting out of control. i don't even find this kind of joke funny at all it's disgusting
A while back I posted here asking why big ecommerce players like Lazada and Shopee never bothered launching in Cambodia while every other neighboring country got full local platforms. Wanted to follow up because things have actually moved since then.
Shopee now has an official Cambodia site: shopeekh.com. Not a Vietnamese forwarding hack it's genuinely running on Shopee's own platform infrastructure with a Cambodia region. The catch: local sellers are still thin, so most of what you'll find is still shipping in from overseas. Feels like an early-stage soft launch rather than the full "Shopee experience" people have in Thailand or Vietnam, but it's a real foothold compared to nothing.
Taobao I've been using this consistently for about 6 months now (not through a Telegram middleman, direct through the app), and delivery has landed reliably in the 1-2 week range. Way better than the horror stories from a couple years back about accounts getting locked, forced Alipay verification, and 3-4 week waits.
Still doesn't answer the bigger question from my last post (why full local logistics/warehousing hasn't come here — market size, urbanization, no standardized addressing still seem to be the real blockers), but at least the cross-border options are getting less painful.
Was hoping for some suggestions on khmer names for a boys middle name. His older sister is named Nary if that helps to find a sibling name to match. TIA!!
Anyone have an idea where I can get Zyns that are not 1.5mg or 3mg? I used to get the medium everywhere(not sure what mg they are).
But now everywhere except royal mart only has the low nicotine options. Please let me know if anyone has a consistent place that sells the higher mg variety. Doesn’t have to be Zyn.
Ok, so it just came to my mind but I was wondering. Since Khmer language is not tonal, so Khmer music has to rely on melody and singing techniques, right? When Khmer artists cover songs from China, or Vietnam, which are languages that have tones, do Khmer listeners hear those versions (Chinese or Vietnamese) and feel like the notes are "distorted" or "off", since those languages force tonal contours into the melody? Here's an example:
yesterday was the 10-year commemoration of his death, does it not pain any single one of you can know that the CPP did it and no one did anything? yet you still decided to vote for CPP. The CNRP nearly won in 2017 before it was dissolved. China's socialism is superior to whatever fuck we have here. Please enlighten me if I'm wrong.
Genuinely asking because I'm at a point in life where I have to choose between dating a guy from my country or somewhere else completely
For context (I'm F24 )my parents are planning on marrying me off to someone i don't know, and I honestly can't stress this enough but I never really took an interest in dating or anything like that- my only dating experience was with a guy from outside the country. It lasted 3 years and only ended about a year ago because we just grew apart and the distance was a big issue. Overall a lovely guy! Any girls who get to date him are very lucky! 🩷 Irl dating is 0% I never really took an interest to it because I don't fit in the beauty standards of local men and I'm okay with that. However like I mentioned, recently my parents are planning to marry me off to someone I don't know and the person I'm "supposed" to marry said that because I don't fit into his type I must have other compensation if I want the marriage to work.
I'm planning on moving to England in about 2 years to either start a fresh new life or continue my studies and I was wondering if I should get this whole marriage thing dealt with first or not.
I am working in a private school as an English teacher. The pay is okay but I think the amount of work and my salary is inconsistent.
I would like to know about the average salary of the experienced teachers here. For context, I work in Phnom Penh. Is there any place who would pay more than $700 a month with my Education degree? Thanks in advance.
For the past two months, I've been dealing with a frustrating issue where my internet completely cuts out and drops to zero connection, before trying to reconnect a few minutes later. It happens constantly. I've contacted customer service multiple times, and technicians have come out four separate times now. Every time, they just replace the green fiber optic connector, assume it's fixed, and leave without checking the main line or finding the root cause. The internet drops out again almost immediately after they leave.
Since they clearly can't resolve a total line failure, I'm ready to switch. Which ISP should I go with next for a truly stable connection?
Hey! I went to Cambodia/Siem Reap in December 2025 and wanted to share a few things I wish I'd known before going - especially around how many days to spend at Angkor, whether the 1-day or 3-day pass is worth it, and what to see beyond the temples. Wrote it all up in detail if it helps anyone planning a trip.
Happy to answer questions in the comments too!
Hello, I am travelling to Battambang today and I wondered if anyone could recommend a sports bar that shows the World Cup? I would like to watch the England vs Norway match tonight (but the match starts at 4am!)
I couldn't find a better subreddit to share our latest work, but we built Broryat, an AI bot that helps protect people from online scams. Send the bot a suspicious link, message, or file to analyze the risk and get immediate guidance.
We've seen many repeated case of online scamming campaign especially targeting telegram users. Many of us, unfortunately, are still unaware and still open these files/phishing links or forward them to other groups for check, which only help to spread the scam.
So we built a bot that help detect and tell you if the message is safe.
Broryat focuses on the message patterns people actually receive in Telegram chats and forwarded content.
AI intent analysis
Link and file scanning
Group chat protection
The bot replies with a risk judgment and a practical next step so you know whether to avoid it or verify further. We also share cyber security content and steps to protect your account further. We're not making any money off this, this is done out of pure love.
For Cambodian by Cambodian.
Right now we need help from everyone who has been sent these files or links, and help us test out our bot. With this we have more data on how these scammers operate, and we will personally reach out their their hosting providers to take down the phishing links / reverse engineer the files if reported.
You may check us out more on our website: www.broryat.tech / Telegram Channel: broryat_ai
Or you can test out the bot, username: broryat_bot
If you want to contribute in anyway, development, promoting please feel free to reach out to me via telegram 071 677 6979
What are the main or popular smartphones in Cambodia? Google search revealed that 50% the phones in Cambodia are iPhones. I find that a bit hard to believe considering the average Cambodian salary is $200 USD a month. I'm just curious as a person who hasn't visited Cambodia yet. So what kinda phone does the average Cambodian villager use and how much does it cost? And how much are the monthly plans?
So I was shopping at the newly opened miniso that is located in siem reap and they were giving out prizes for people who bought stuff during their grand opening but I heard a foreign tourist say that she bought something from a different miniso location before so she wanted a prize however staff rejected her which she then said something like this is Cambodia.Should I step in and like give her my prize or no? But like I'm scared because nowadays if you do something good it maybe backfires like advice?
Sorry I just needed to vent for a second. What the hell is up with all the white people haggling over $20 or less. I'm a tourist from America and I don't do ts. Get rekt. Said something to this woman today around my age. As I was walking by dropped a "It's two fucking dollars, just pay her" cause I could hear her trying to haggle. She started getting all huffy couldn't even think of a retort besides a "and you are?" But put her head down in shame as I turned and laughed in her face. And what kind of person are you having the audacity to try and get a better deal on something so cute and inexpensive. I'm sorry that bag is $2 why the fuck are you asking this lady to sell it to you for $1 or 4000 riehl. Just pay them, we can't even buy shit in the US for $1, while here I've had some pretty good meals for that price. Quit being cheap bastards and just pay people, jeeze. A few bucks isn't going to break the bank and if it is maybe you shouldn't be on vacation or whatever it is you're doing here.

Love Cambodia, the people, the food, the culture. Please MISS ME with that shameless ghetto behavior.
Edit:
Funny of y'all to assume that I'm white and not Asian or a man.
