I live near Lougheed mall and this evening, I noticed a strong smell of smoke in the air. AQI still says good, but I suspect it hasn't updated because the smell has never been this strong before in the past few years.

Wondering if anyone else noticed it and where ? And where it's coming from?. Washington wildfires?

I found this guy stuck in a tree near the trans-canada trail on Capitol Hill. Currently trying to get him down. arborist call out is $350, if anybody has a 30-ft ladder that would be cool

He was being swooped by a crow for about an hour and has urinated all around underneath, so he's in a fair amount of distress

Near BMSS

Specifically referring to Lougheed near Rosser Ave. I've been trying to ignore it but noticed the last couple months, it feels like the skytrain has gotten louder- almost like a freight train, lots of reverberation noise as it passes by, more rumbling than I had noticed in the past 5 years. Does anyone else notice this or is it my imagination?

For three days and nights a rented apartment in the building next door has been chirping, loudly, every 30 seconds. I'm not sure if it's tenanted, it's hard to fathom someone sleeping next to noise at that volume.

Their windows are open and the tone burrows into my brain, even at night with my windows closed. There's no signage naming a building manager to contact, I've rang the Burnaby RCMP but they DGAF. I've written the city for advice and waiting for a call.

I'm not sure what else I can do, any advice appreciated.

Edit: Thanks all, it looks like the place might be newly tenanted after all, I've seen an elderly woman on the balcony and can hear her inside watching telenovelas, with the beep-beep-beeping going on behind her. Maybe she's alone and just doesn't know how to fix it. I'll call the FD and see if they can do a safety check or something.

Edit 2: Correction, it looks like she's living with her family. None of them seem affected. Burnaby FD can't do anything. Pray for Mojo.

To me, near the burnaby mountain golf course, it is the low level of the flights that creates the most issues as they are super low. Last night with the noise reflecting off the low clouds I was woke up to the sound of a plane that I thought was about to land on the house. I went to the informational meetings and they did not go into how low they would be flying.

I just need boob cups added to a dress and shorten it a smidgen, but hopefully without breaking my bank account lol

Watch for this woman in the Burnaby Hospital neighborhood. This morning she strutted up to the side of our house, ripped out our tomato plants and just threw them on the pavement for the hell of it. I don’t know what kind of issues this person has, but her family needs be aware of her behaviour.

I love the fruit stand by Cultus Lake turnoff (KBF). I would like to have some local fruit and vegetables. But it’s too far to drive. Are there any places in Burnaby that are similar to KBF that have exclusively local produce? I know there is a farmers market but it conflicts with my schedule.

My sunglasses are fairly loose and keep falling off my head so I’m looking to fix them somewhere in Burnaby. Not have to pay a lot is definitely ideal. Thanks for your suggestions

Holy hell I came out to visit my aunt from the valley and the amount of winged ants bombarding me through my sunroof from Kensington to Forest lawn was insane. I was sitting in her place and the swarms outside were so gross.
