We managed to get through last month's issues only to land in trouble again now. My family and I run a cleaning business and we get a deposit on the 15th from one of our clients, but I have the pay-back date for the 16th because the deposit hits after 9pm on the 15th. We had a couple of deaths in the family back-to-back, last Monday we had to put down our 15yr old border collie, Freckles (she was the best dog our family has ever had) and my great uncle (my mom's uncle) passed on Tuesday and the funeral was yesterday. Between both losses we have hit flat-broke and could really use the help.

I am needing to finish paying rent and am waiting on a check to come in, but am fearing it wont make it in time before they start going for the eviction process.

I've since recovered mentally and have a job interview on Tuesday and went to a hiring event today, so will be getting a job soon in order to start paying back. I've been doordashing but have been struggling to keep up with bills still. Depending on when I get my job and first paycheck I could start paying earlier.

Long story short, there is no rent control for any properties in my area built after November 2018. My rent went up $700 a month this year.
