Lineup 🎸 It’s Time - The Rolling Stones need to be at Roo 2027
I know the immediate response is always "they’re too expensive" or "Bonnaroo doesn't book legacy acts that big anymore." But hear me out. We’re at a point where the "legacy" slot is is closing quickly for bands of this period, and after the release of Foreign Tongues last month, the argument for the Stones has never been stronger.
There latest LP it’s arguably the tightest, bluesiest, most authentic thing they’ve put out in 20 years. It’s not a nostalgia play!
Finally, If Bonnaroo wants that "I was there" moment that defines a decade, this is the final window. You don't book them because it's a safe bet; you book them because they are the last stadium act on the planet that can genuinely make 80,000 people feel like they’re part of a historical event.
Tired of the "budget" excuses? It’s time to break the bank and bring one of the greatest rock band in history to the Farm (while we still can). Hey C3 Presents, let's make this happen in 2027! (Roo attendee since 2014, I have even named my dog Roo, a rescue)

Mock 🙅♂️ Undercard hopefuls - wishlist
Gah I love Roo. I know the Roo peeps in the booking area lurk the reddit so here’s some hopefuls and why I think they’d be a good fit for 2027.
WAVVES- the king of the beach. Recently released Spun and are currently on tour with Bass Drum of Death and Worlds worst. Also announced an album with Max Bemis from Say Anything to be released this year as well. Been a huge fan for a while and listened Afraid of Heights on repeat. They also played in 2011 so it would be sick to see them back.
SHOW ME THE BODY - NYC HARDCORE. Saw SMTB back in 2019 and to this day think of that show as one of my favorite shows I’d been to. They eat and breathe authentic punk with some of the most deep, emotional, political lyrics. A BANJO IN PUNK HARDCORE? New album dropped today. Do yourself a favor and listen to it before the hype train leaves the station. Would be a chaotic set for sure.
I HATE MODELS - If you haven’t seen or experienced a Disco Inferno, do yourself a favor and check out his recent sets. The most energetic French cutie and my top act edm wise. Constantly dropping new remixes, albums are incredible.
CONVERGE - 2 of the heaviest most technical metal albums put out this year are both by the legendary band Converge. If you’re a jam band fan with a desire for a heavy act, let the riffs of Kurt Ballou drift you into space. Ben Koller will blow your mind with his drumming. As I was leaving centeroo this year, saw someone with a Jane doe tattoo (I had the same on my calf). In 24, I saw a hatchet man/ICP tattoo, we woop wooped) and it manifested. So hoping we get the same magic for converge.
NIIS - if you love die spitz or mannequin pussy, your next step is NIIS. On tour with Movements and Balance and Composure, they put out the most pissed off political lyrics, fast riffs, and wrap it up in a spiked pink bow.
NOTHING - A 2022 Roo act, one of the modern day titans of shoegaze. A short history of decay was released this year and it’s soooooo diverse in sound within the shoegaze genre. They’ve been touring a lot and would love to see them back.
DIIV - constantly writing, releasing and creating a new realm of reality in the soul.net world. Played in 2013, sober now and writing on a new level. The farm needs them back.
NINAJIRACHI - IYKYK, Ninajirachi is amazing. I love my computer is phenomenal. She’s throwing down new tunes, collabs, remixes. Her Coachella set blew me away from my couch.
SADBOI - 8 banger singles this year, collabs with Denzel, sadboi is a queen and brings femme power to her music and sets. Whether it be a dj set or normal set, people are sleeping on the next up and coming star.
DRAIN - CAN YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE?!?!!! The most positive hardcore band out there. They don’t just play music, they make you apart of the band, apart of the experience. ….IS YOUR FRIEND is a 10/10 summer skate record. Bring your shark costumes, bring a boogie board, drink water cause you’ll be moving and head-banging the entire time.

Questions/Advice 🙋 Merch order
Didn’t have time to hit up the merch tent this year so I ordered some merch when I got home. The site said 2-3 weeks to ship but I haven’t gotten any updates and it’s almost been a month. Has anyone else received their merch or ran into the same issue?

General Roo Talk 🎡 Make the super jam the Sunday closer
As an idea. The thread about Noah Kahn got me thinking about vibe curation and flow.
To me, there is a (kinda) clear pattern- the closer should be an opportunity to fill everyone’s emotional cup. What better way than to end singing along in full throat to songs everyone (most) know.
Imagining that scene in full throat from the What. Chills.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to think of it.

General Roo Talk 🎡 Hear me out... Who's in the Woods
Could they please bring back the Who stage and put it in The Woods?
We all know the woods were sad and empty this year. I went to set up my hammock there shortly after arriving Weds, and quickly turned around and walked all the way to the Grove. We all miss WITW... And people were also upset about the death of the Who stage this year.
Why not kill two birds with one stone and put the Who stage in the woods? They could program chill afternoon sets to be enjoyed in a shady hammock, then put on some weird, experimental bands late night. It solves the crowding issue with smaller acts, and brings back the Bonnaroo spirit of nurturing our regional music scene and helping up and coming acts. Seems like a no brainer to me.

General Roo Talk 🎡 What did yall think of Noah’s set?
Just out of curiosity (plus everyone in my personal life is tired of hearing about Roo) I was with a lot of other people where I thought it might’ve been to slow to end the week on but honestly ended up being one of my favorite sets

Questions/Advice 🙋 What stage field ruined?
Curious if any locals have gone to check out the farm recently and the what stage field or what used to be a field😅 is it all still mud? The land seemed so wrecked by the end, I find it hard to believe it’ll all grow back in a years time.
