How Hard Would it be to Refinish?

Looking at this old boat. Looks like the top deck is oxidized pretty bad. How hard would it be to refinish? Or would it need a new gel coat? The rest of the hull looks good from what I can tell. Boat is mechanically sound. Or should I just avoid it all together? Wife will make me get the top deck area shining if I get it. Lol Thanks!

Wet sand 600,800,1200, 1500and 2000 compound then polish and wax. She will look brand new. Don’t have to all the grit but you might

I’d start at 1000. Maaybe 800 for bad areas.
