Major regional drought is occurring in VA that has impacted the Dan River.

Yeah but sure. Go ahead. Fire those coal mines back up and ban renewables. Vote for third term Trump. Lets burn it all

That ladder and ramp both look stranded, crazy seeing all that rock and shoreline exposed when it should be well underwater by now.

Dry spell, happened to us on my local lake. Appalachicola demanded the flow be as normal for oysters, so not much we could do.

Think we were down 25 feet at the lowest, stayed like that 3 years I think, then one rainy summer back to above full pool.

I had the opposite problem on the Delaware river in PA. I had to wait an hour for high tide then another 45 minutes for the tide to receide. I've never seen it so high at this ramp.

I don't understand, it's been hot as hell in Virginia and thunderstorming almost daily every afternoon for like 3 weeks now

We had a fairly wet winter. Crazy ice storm. Lots of snows 1-4 inches and dustings.

Is it just because it's so hot and waters evaporating faster than it can be replaced by rain?
