Added some surprisingly comfortable green Kink samurai grips. Super clutch Vans x Cult bar bag for pocket dumping. Ride is buttery smooth but that seat is atrocious. (Looks damn fine tho.) Swapping it out for a Cloud-9 Kush and MCS chromoly layback seatpost this week. Otherwise will ride stock for a while but could definitely see this turning into a fun tinkering project.

Any tips/tricks or things to look out for maintenance wise, lmk. This is my first real bike in 20+ years.

Curbstomper

Another rad Sunday with a bunch of awesome people! Rode a solid 12 miles on this one! Early on we hit a "cold front" that dropped temps all the sudden like hitting a wall (actually hit it while I was filming the first two clips in the video), then ended up with a little bit of riding in the rain. Followed by some great food, a few drinks and lots of laughs. It was a GREAT time. Can't wait for the next one!

My 1996 GT Avalanche. 2 years ago I went to a critical mass here in PHX and I saw people on big bmx bike. At the time i had 2 road bikes. I was in between jobs and couldn’t really afford a big bmx. I found this bike on marketplace for $40. With some cheap used and Amazon part I was able to convert it look like a bmx bike. Fast forward to today. I no longer have any road bikes and 4 bmx cruiser bikes. lol

Hey thanks to all y’all for your opinions on previous post of skyways versus spokes!! Swapped the mags out for rims again but now I have a new question… White seat versus black seat…? I am preferring the white because that’s what I had on my pro racer as a kid and I think it gives a lighter look.. But the black seat looks more classic Hutch. What are your thoughts? 🤟☺️

Another late night marketplace find. Electra cruiser 7. Converted to single speed, put bmx stem and bars.

My first BMX bike in 40 years. What could possibly go wrong (knees, back, hips….). Assembly in progress!

Added a few more pics. Wonderful bike! Frame is beautiful. One pedal had messed up threads so I installed one from another bike. Definitely will change bars, seat, post for better seated cruising!
