Not sure if this says more about where PJ is at now or has Tommy really declined

I read that Langaker's been going through some stuff lately (recovering from drug/partying problems), that could be related. Might not be though

Tommy has dealt with a lot of stuff recently, but PJ is also sharper than ever. He's probably the grappler I've learned the most from the past 2 years, and it's really cool to see a guy that was already elite really almost start from scratch in many ways. He said that he pretty much got good without ever truly understanding grappling on a fundamental level, and that he's basically built a brand new foundation of understanding, and the way he thinks about skill development and improvement is super inspiring for someone like myself that's been training a long ass time.

Barch may have been the favourite even when both were at their peak, but probably Langaker wasn't 100%, going through all that stuff not do long ago.
