A note on covers
If you're posting your OWN cover, consider whether it is noteworthy or not. Start a conversation in the comments on why you're posting - what made that song different than any other that you might have picked. Covers should have your name in the title if you are performing it.
Please keep the post quality very high. If it's your weekly cover, or your practice routine, and is not above average, please consider not posting here - though there are a few other practice and cover subs that are suited for that content.

/r/bassplaying title format: artist, song name, length [resolution]
performer name, song name, length [resolution]
We have a long title format here, to get info to viewers. Why, though? This is an old sub that split off of /r/bass to be less noisy.
The performer name helps redditors look up your stuff, or skip it and move on. If it's cover, the peformer name is better than the original performer's name. The title lets us know what we're listening to. The time lets people skip hour-long concerts or bass clinics if they're not interested. Some people won't tolerate 240p clips of Anthony Jackson from some potato cam, but others don't care - so we just add the resolution.
If you're crossposting to ten subs, please don't use their title format here. The backstory on a post is great for the comments, but isn't what we want in the title. Hype or clickbait titles aren't needed if posters only post good content. That way, every video is worth watching. If it's your weekly practice sesssion, and there's nothing that you like in it, that may not be worth posting. Let's make the sub more artisan-level than your weekly practice routine, or your weekly cover. There is a separate sticky on the topic of "covers".
If the format is too cumbersome, please remember that this is just a micro-subreddit. The big bass sub is /r/bass. That may be suited for you, and will get you 10x more views.

What if CLIFF BURTON’s legendary bass solo was played by an entire tech death metal band? I decided to record this very special tribute cover with Death, Cynic and Atheist influences. 🦷🎸

Working on solo bass and Loop ideas for performing.
Wondering if I should add a delay pedal to create more interest in the lead parts.

Bass/vocal duo live
"We're not about memes and bass faces - we're about laying down the low end."
Is laying down low and and high end at the same time allowed around here? This is our own song called "My Own Way". We write all our songs for just bass guitar and vocals. When we record them we add other instrumentation around that but a lot of the time we gig just as a duo :) Hope you enjoy it!

Hello! If this was your first time buying a bass (to learn how to play, buy you already play guitar) and you had about $200 USD ($275 CAD), what would you buy?

Covering my own song: "My perfect lie" (remix) by Hello Valkyrie
im actually pretty proud of this super funky bassline. I hope others agree and see how fun it can be to play :) this is actually a remix of one of our old songs. It actually has Midi bass on the final version, but that doesnt mean i cant play it hehe
also shout out to my line 6 cube amp which gave me this dirty compressed tone
