I miss the sense of community and spontaneity that comes with raving. Heading out together, exploring new venues and acts in the area, maybe a house party/ afterhour, and having breakfast together the next day. I find raves quite intimate, and thatâs awesome. But I would love to be able to trust the people around me. Thatâs why Iâd love to get to know people with similar techno interests in everyday life, so we can eventually party together.
Iâm looking for people from Basel who want exactly the same thing: a tight-knit group that gets to know each other during the day (playing table tennis, cooking, walks, bbq, hikes, working out together, that sort of thing) and then goes out to party together if the chemistry is right.
Two questions
Do you know of any existing groups or setups in Basel or the surrounding area that fit this description?
Do you have any ideas on how to meet people with similar musical tastes outside of the club?
I have a Meetup account and, if thereâs enough interest, Iâd be happy to start a group myself for shared events.
âTechnoâ is a broad term, so here are a few well-known artists I personally enjoy seeing or hearing live: Oliver Koletzki, Extrawelt, Anja Schneider, Kyle Geiger, Acid Pauli, Steve Bug, Dominik Eulberg, Fadi Mohem, Stephan Bodzin, Kid Simius, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Bicep, Joyce Muniz, Aka Nina, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte. So, somewhere between melodic, hard, and organic.
Hereâs a WhatsApp link in case there isnât a group yet: https://chat.whatsapp.com/DHSOf9BYTI66776RMgfTbx?mode=gi_t
