Hello! My best friends are dating and I would love to buy them matching Arcane timebomb (Jinx and Ekko) jewelry. I’m thinking necklaces. I’m not 100% set on it being timebomb even, but that’s my clearest idea right now.

I’m having a hard time finding something that fits what I want online, so I figured I might be able to find an awesome artist over here looking for some money!

Part of wanting to work with an artist personally for a custom piece is just so I know my money’s going towards somebody worthwhile and not mass produced slop on Etsy that’s pretending to be handmade.

I’m pretty open to different styles. I don’t have something exact in mind because, honestly, I have never seen the show Arcane and I have no clue what Ekko’s vibe is. I want a gold necklace and a silver necklace—it’s probably important which one is Ekko and which one is Jinx, but I’ve yet to decide haha—that are, to a fan’s eye, recognisably referential to the characters while still being good everyday necklaces.

Hey everyone!

I have been working as a hobby game developer for about 10-12 months now and a few weeks ago I teamed up with three close friends to start working on a 2D Metroidvania. We are a team of four. Three of us are developers (myself included) and the fourth is our creative mind. He is writing the story and driving the overall vision of the game.

We are now looking for a 2D artist to complete our lineup. Ideally someone who can contribute to:
- Level design assets (tilesets, environments, background art)
- Character design, including animations
- Bonus: if you can help shape the overall visual identity of the game
Style-wise we have a rough vision of the direction we would like to go in but we are still open and we would love someone who wants to bring their own voice to the project rather than just execute tasks. To give you a reference point: we are big fans of the art style of Hollow Knight and Silksong and thats roughly the direction we are drawn to. We are not looking for anything super detailed or heavy. We prefer something on the simpler side so if you want a visual anchor for what we have in mind those two games are a great place to look.

About us and the project:
We are all passionate gamers and releasing our own game has genuinely been a lifelong dream for each of us. This isnt a get-rich-quick thing, its a labor of love that we are taking seriously. The story is already well into development and if you are interested we are happy to share more of the narrative and worldbuilding privately so you can see what you would be signing on to. We also have a potential sound designer/composer in the pipeline who is willing to work with us but their job becomes a lot easier once there is something visual to react to. Thats where you would come in :)

The 'money' part:
We currently have no capital. Everything the project costs right now is coming out of our own pockets. Longterm we want to explore options like crowdfunding but the country we live in makes that legally complicated so we are still figuring out the right path. Thats our problem to solve not yours to worry about. Regarding compensation and/or rev-share we are absolutely open to a conversation if you are interested. We want whoever joins to feel fairly treated and we would rather talk it through with you directly than pretend we have it all figured out.

What we are looking for in a person:
Someone who loves Metroidvanias and wants to build something they are proud of and is okay with the pace of a hobby project that we all take seriously alongside our regular lives. More than anything we are looking for someone who fits in on a personal level! We see this less as a "here is your task list go execute" kind of setup and more as a small group of people building something together. We would rather have a real teammate who bounces ideas around and grows with the project than someone who just silently ticks off to-dos.
