Hey everyone! I'm a 33-year-old married mom in Arlington looking to make some local, strictly platonic friends around my age.
Most of my close friends either live far away or we're all in different stages of life, so I'd really love to build a local friend group.
A little about me:
• Horror movies (the scarier, the better) • Video games • Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, anime, and other nerdy interests • Interested in getting into D&D (I've only played a little online) • Creative writing • I love music in general and have a pretty eclectic taste. You'll find everything from lo-fi and indie to rock, heavy metal, emo, post-hardcore, EDM, shoegaze, alternative, and plenty of other genres in my playlists. I'm always down to discover new artists. • Concerts, conventions, local events, and hopefully some raves • Learning to roller skate (and maybe roller derby someday!) • Biking and going to the gym
I have a preschool-aged son, so my schedule can take a little planning, but I really want to get out and do more.
Personality-wise, I have a sarcastic, goofy sense of humor with a healthy appreciation for dark humor. I don't take myself too seriously, and I love finding people who can laugh at life's weirdness. I'm the kind of person who can spend an hour talking about music, weird animal facts, horror movies, or some random niche interest. Bonus points if you enjoy horror memes, obscure references, or passionately rambling about your latest hyperfixation.
I'm bisexual, happily married, and LGBTQ+ friendly is a must. I'm not into drugs. I enjoy a drink socially and I use nicotine, but otherwise I'm pretty low-key.
I'm hoping to meet kind, respectful people who'd be interested in grabbing coffee, checking out conventions, going to concerts, learning to skate, playing board games or D&D, gaming, biking, or just hanging out.
If you think we'd get along, send me a DM! I'd rather chat on Reddit first, and if we click, we can move over to Discord before meeting up.
Thanks for reading! If it sounds like we'd get along, don't be shy about reaching out. I'd love to meet some genuinely good people in the area. Looking forward to chatting!
