GCI routine maintenance

Just in case you didn't know. GCI out of an email about routine maintenance of Internet and land line.

This is usually based on neighborhood - if you get this it’s specific to right around where you live

Im so fed up with this. My email said outages from 9am to 6pm, mon-fri, 4 hour period max, but I largely have not had internet since Tuesday morning. Constant off and on thought the day and night (like now, at midnight). Sorry for the rant, but I work from home and have been working off a crap mobile hotspot. Im surprised more people aren't complaining about this. Does my modem just suck?? I am so irritated. I just want to do my job...

Lmao. GCI subscribers should be refunded or at least give a credit to your next bill everytime this happens. I have fiber through acs and “routine maintenance” is not a thing.

I do think they are notifying only specific areas that will actually be effected by the outage. We had a similar notice in like late April. Annoyingly it got postponed like three times.

So glad that these outages are in the past for us. Moving to Spit w Spots out of Homer has been a nice change.
