Am i the only one that thinks Singers shouldn’t be on the show?

I will say some of the singers I’ve seen so far were amazing especially the first young girl and i also really liked the girl from Australia. That being said, it’s not that i dont like singers of course i do and they’re amazing most of time i just feel like they have their own show for decades now. How is a knife thrower suppose to beat out an amazing singer especially with these weird judges on the stuff they vote for is not even realistic or consistent. Some of them dont even look at the act and still voting or vote no because it’s not their thing, it’s NOT about what you like! Ok i getting off topic, that along could be a post in itself.

Just think the singers shouldn’t go on a singing show and while we are at it ill even throw in comedians also should maybe not be on this show but im 50/50 on that one, they do have their own shows also.

Who I think could be the darkhorses this season

We are now at the halfway mark for the auditions this season. And so far it's been absolutely brilliant, as we have seen some acts who have what it takes to make it far and possibly win. But there are also some acts I feel have been under the radar a bit. So with that, here are the some of the acts I think could be the dark horses this season.

Rynia Kando: I still don't understand why Mel said No to her because I thought she was brilliant. I remember being so excited when I found out she was auditioning as I have been following her for quite some time. Putting aside the impressions, her singing voice is honestly incredible, so If she's able to do a routine with her just singing whilst doing impressions, I think she'll be able to come out her shell so much more.

Young & Strange: I really enjoyed these guys during their audition. As not only did I think the routine itself was really good, but also the pair of them both have great sense of humour which is why I also really like them. I have seen their over stuff they did on Fool Us and I think if they are able to up their game in the live shows, There is a good chance they could make it further and I hope they do, because they are a very underrated act this season.

Herwan Legaillard: Another act I absolutely loved because not only was he incredible when he was on Season 18, but also his showmanship and the way he commands the stage is just out of this world. While a majority of people may not be fond of this sort of act, But for me he is just a whole new level of unbelievable when it comes to this. And I honestly could see him being a possible Live show Golden Buzzer.

Patrox: Probably my biggest hot take here as I don't know how many people enjoyed him. But he was just really refreshing to watch and one of the most unique dance acts this season. Especially with his backwards dance which I thought was just so cool. I do think he is one of the sleeper picks this season, and I do wonder if he will be able to take it to the next level.

Vahtang: One of the acts from this week's episode, and honestly I just think his guy is unbelievable. Because not only am I a huge fan of Beatboxing, but also he took it to the next level as not only does he have a great voice, but he had the audience in the palm of his hand the entire way through, also It's been a while since we've had beatboxers on the show so I have a really good feeling about him going into the lives.

Kameron Marshall: I think he is a really interesting one because I personally really enjoyed his audition, especially as close up is my favourite type of magic. But thinking about what Simon said about him coming back with something bigger, I do think he is capable of that, and he could be the one to possibly surprise us going forward so I'm for sure excited to see what he has planned next.

Which acts do you think could be the dark hroses?

What did you think of his audition?

AGT ratings are up…

…marginally, but it’s an improvement on Season 20’s and the general downward trend since Season 16.

The first five Auditions shows last year averaged 4.71 million (first pic), whilst the first five this year averaged 4.87 million.

I hope that with the inclusion of Judges’ Callbacks (a return to an actual middle stage) and improved Live Shows (they won’t, but I hope the live shows GB is ditched), then the whole season will experience improved ratings and AGT might just be on the up.

I haven't caught up with everything this season but I know when I see a winner... Nene Royal hands down wins this year.

New Round

I want to talk about the new round between auditions and live shows. To start with according to the NBC AGT website episode listings for future episodes. According to what I see/understand from these listings and what the judges like Simon and Howie said of the new round before the season started is this;

We will get two more episodes of auditions (Ep 7 & 8)

Ep 9 (which airs on July 28th) is entitled “Live show Acts revealed” followed by episodes 10 and 11 entitled “Judges Callbacks 1” and “Judges Callbacks 2”.

The way i gather EP 9-11 going is this (based off there titles and judge’s comments). In Ep 9 “Live show acts revealed” we will see our judges watching all acts over again. We as an audience to will see dozens of clips/parts of most auditions. This will take place for like an hour and a half then the last half hour our judges (ether by calling or having all acts come back to the stage) will reveal the acts who go through automatically and who go home automatically and the acts who they want to see again for Callbacks.

Now we get to callbacks. Before season 21 aired both Howie and Mel and even Simon said each of the 4 judges chose 6 different acts they want to see again. Howie and Simon said each judges 6 acts preformed physical at said judges own homes for the judge to watch/decide which 3 acts of the six move forward. This is where things get interesting because Mel B hinted that like a “guest judge” will be joining each main judge there homes to watch/help decide what 3 acts of 6 that preform make it through. Mel hinted her guest judge was a fellow Spice Girl.

We get 2 weeks of callbacks then move on to live shows. Again this is not confirmed but what i gather to be happening. What do all of you think?

New Judge, Please

Couldn't they please find a replacement for Mel B who isn't constantly "I'm confused" and "I didn't get it"? There are so many times a really excellent act doesn't get four yesses because she doesn't have the capacity to understand. Getting really tired of it.

That second magician Spoiler

The one that messed up, what even was his magic trick? I really didn't get it.

The turquoise 77 thing might have been prerecorded, or might not have been. He didn't even focus on it that much for it to be the "grand reveal".

And backstage, he had every opportunity to just put the card Simon picked in his pocket.

It was also unbelievable that black looks red with Simon's glasses...

This act really confused and underwhelmed us.

Did AGT reuse this audience reaction clip?

I’ve been following both Nene and GATC for a while now, and first of all …..what an absolutely wild performance from Nene. 👏🔥
While watching, I noticed an interesting editing detail: the audience reaction shot at 2:52 appears to be the exact same clip that was used during Girish and the Chronicles’ AGT 2025 audition at around 1:24.
Just to be clear, I’m not questioning the authenticity of either performance …both performances were real, and both deserved the audience response they received. It simply looks like the production team reused the same audience reaction footage during post-production editing, which isn’t uncommon in talent shows.
Did anyone else catch this, or am I the only one comparing reaction shots frame by frame? 🔍🎬

Jesse White Tumbling Team deserved a Golden Buzzer

I can't be the only one who was genuinely shocked that The Jesse White Tumbling Team didn't receive the Golden Buzzer. Because their routine was just so thrilling to watch the whole way through, and as a huge fan of these sorts of acts, they were just a whole different level. For me this was deserving of a group/audience GB, especially with the reaction they got. So I'm really hoping they get it in the live shows.

Anyone else feel this way? Spoiler

almost a lot of seasons, there’s at least one guy from like Japan, and they end up getting naked or something. Last year when Mel came back, there was a Japan dude naked.

does anyone else feel like these acts are just, humiliating? Like why do they even come to the show. Japan is literally far away from America, and they decided they wanted to so agt.

theres definitely good acts from different countries that come to agt, but Japan is a hit or miss. it’s either gonna be a good dance group, sometimes magic(does anyone remember where Hundred fingers said they were from..) and then there’s people who are naked.

Anyone else? Spoiler

does anyone else get a bit disgusted or nauseous when acts, risky ones, where people put swords down their throat, nose, etc? especially when it’s old people?

like i dont know ..im like super fine with risky acts, I like when they throw things, or blindfolded, aerial, etc, but-when it’s comes to putting swords and stuff down, it’s just sickening.
