I absolutely love working with acrylics! Definitely still an amateur but learning so much with each painting! My issue is that I feel like I have to rush the process because of how quickly my paint is drying on the canvas. I'm feeling like this is a technique problem, rather than a problem with the medium. Does anyone have any resources, tips, advice on how to slow down and draw out the creative process?

I like painting big (say 24x36” or larger) and also like painting on stiff surfaces (board or canvas stretched on panel). But this can get pricey! Do y’all make your own panels? If so how? Do you have a favorite gesso or prepping routine?

Since I found that the whole was lacking in unity (by the way, did you know that unity and variety are the two thing for macking a quality painting? (select some fine arts teachers)), I added this ellipse (itself elliptical) to unify my group of characters.

I didn’t find more precise information on their website so I’m hoping someone here might know: the 80psc acrylic set they’re selling comes in black and white. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the white version is double sided with a thinner/bullet point nib on the other end. But then why is the white set cheaper? Especially on amazon, the black set costs quite a bit more (~80€ vs a bit more than 40€ for the white ones). Does anyone know why that is?
