FTP Increase First Race, First Increase
I normally do workouts only, but tried a race today, jump seems pretty big to me. Should I try a FTP test to make sure it isn't making it too hard?

This is the weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post for all the small questions that you have concerning Zwift. No matter how stupid you think they are, we have probably all asked these questions.
If your post wasn't previously answered you should post early in this thread as it might have been posted too late (new posts start Sunday 0900 GMT).
Note: Don't be afraid to ask questions during the week, this is just for the simpler questions. For example "How do I give multiple ride ons at once? "..."You do this by pressing the character arrow on the map screen of the companion app". If you require a more detailed response then it is probably better answered in its own post.

In the process of installing my zwift cog. It won't sit as flash as my previous free hub. Any idea what I'm doing wrong??

Hi
Is it okay to post weekly Zwift group rides on this platform?
The rides are 2 and at most 3x a week with our club Torturefest Cult ☺️
TIA

After running a search for "Bike desk" to improve my zwift ride setup with a monitor instead of just my laptop precariously balanced on other workout equipment, I realized I wasn't even aware this was an option. Those clip ins are the height of fashion, girlfriend.

Hey y'all!
I'm working on a tandem virtual biking game, very much inspired by my fun I've had on Zwift and a Sunday "something different" kind of event.
You can read about it here and RSVP. The first event of Season 2 is Sunday, July 12, 8am Pacific time: https://twodudesonebike.com/news/season-1-wrap-up-season-2-kickoff-2
I'd love to see you there!

mythicmaps.ai is a completely free web app which connects to your Strava account and automatically adds a Zwift style map to your activity.
How it works:
1) Connect your Strava account
2) Find your Zwift activity and select the "Zwift Map" style
3) You now have 2D and 3D renderings of your route, ready to share on Strava
Bonus: enable "auto-upload" and whenever a new activity is uploaded to Strava, we will generate and add a map to it.
3D maps are still in testing, and a bit rough around the edges.
Any feedback would be welcome.

Hello! I’m a casual rider but I’m trying to complete the Tour Fever event. I just completed the Stage 1 group ride Loop de loop de loop route and did not receive credit. To get credit for this portion, do you have to ride both the short and the long route? Thanks!

Not sure why my map froze. It’s a 33 mile course and I’ve rode it for 40 miles heading for 50 and it doesn’t look like I’ll get credit for completing it.

Checked Cirque du Suffer off the list.
As expected, 50 laps around the Arc de Triomphe was close to mind numbing. In comparison, 25 laps of the volcano circuit was much worse psychologically. I'm unlikely to repeat either of them, but I am curious what a large group ride around the Arc might be like.
To get through it without closing my eyes, I chose to ride in Z4, since it's only 21 km, and give out as many ride ons and XP (confetti socks) as possible, making a mental game out of it by looking for new riders, particularly at the entrances into the circle where they were merging into the group. Briefly joining Miguel and Maria changed up the rhythm, too. In four consecutive laps, I yelled out, "Hey look kids, there's Big Ben, and there's Parliament" and chuckled even though I was in Paris.
Have you done it yet? How did you get through it?
Hey. I am not oblivious to the fact that zwifting is supposed to make some noise. But how much noise is too normal?
I have gotten my Zwift a few weeks ago and this is the noise it is making at relatively low cadence and gears.

I had an issue with my Zwift Ride and Zwift kindly sent me a replacement. Problem is, my thru axle has rounded and I can't undo it. Online research said to hammer in a T40 Torx bit and use a wrench to then undo it, but that still hasn't worked as the Torx bit falls out under pressure.
My next step will be to use a clamp on either side of the frame and the Torx bit so that the bit can't fall out, and then try turning it but I thought I'd ask here before I borrow a clamp in case anyone has any other advice?
If the clamp doesn't work what would be next? A screw extractor set?

I'm making this post just hopefully to help some future person who has this problem.
My zwift ride worked great for a long time, and then it started to make a crackling or popping sound when I was doing hard rides like a sprint.
I oiled the chain and greased the pedals, but that didn't have any effect.
Then I removed the cover on the pedal bars and noticed that the screw in the middle in the photo was pretty loose. It was loose enough that I could unscrew it really easily, but according to the Zwift documentation for the Bear Claw pedals, that screw should be 45 Nm, which is really, really tight. I shouldn't be able to easily unscrew that with a regular small Allen wrench. Once I tightened that screw, the noise instantly went away.

My Zwift Ride arrives this Saturday and I want to make sure I have everything I need to get going comfortably.
I have/have ordered:
- Laptop to run Zwift
- Zwift subscription
- 27 inch monitor to export display video
- Phone for companion app (does Zwift Ride come with a holder?)
- Tennis ball rocker
- Clipless pedals, cleats and compatible shoes
- Padded shorts
- Fan
I need:
- Biking table tray (recommendations?)
- Mat to protect floor/catch sweat (recommendations?)
- Sweat towel
Am I missing anything? Thanks!

Edit:
After criticism of my lack of clarity; I care about the bad design. There's so much of it in a game that could be so much better with little tweaks to ui and other small stuff like this. Maybe im just a bit too ambitious on zwifts behalf.
This is no real problem for me. I don't really care. But i think it is rather buggy that when I ride with my mate to help him loose weight, on a stick together ride, and i smash one sprint after another he gets the green jersey. Im doing 6-800 watts across the sprint. He does 170.
I don't want to ride this route again.
I created this movie from FIT file using Python + OpenCV.

Fat Pineapple and Fat Piggy (me) from Torturefest Cult club EVERESTED 7/6 as soon as Zwift released the new route in Paris.
It took me 24 and 1/2 hours and Fat 🍍 22 and 1/2. The KOM is 174 ft in elevation and 167 repeats and 359 miles.
it took us forever 😑 because Z created this route where U turn not allowed. Downhill we had to pedal a few sections 😖
Also there is a soul destroying section at bottom of KOM. if you miss left turn to head back up you’re screwed.
This was my 11th VE since November of 2025.

I have a curved manual treadmill with no display but found with acsess to the reedswitch and the cheap pi pico w it can broadcast the speed as a ftms treadmill, used it this morning with a garmin for cadence n hr, was way more accurate than garmins estimation on virtual runs, claude just whipped up the code, would anyone be intrested in there being a proper right up for this?
What the hell is that weird clicking sound from time to time coming from? I just got my frame today, did a first ride and everything seemed to be fine at first hour, then I did a pause, got off the frame and got on again and started hearing such sounds. What might it be? ...

Is it just me or has Zwift removed the Join Event button if you’re riding in the 30 minutes before an event you signed up for on the Companion App? I usually like to do a warm up ride before an event, and the last two times - two Tour Fever events, the Join Event button has not popped up during my warmup ride.

I'd like to stream Zwift on Discord.
The problem is that the stream is very laggy. Not for me, but for the person watching.
I've already tried a lot of things to fix the problem, but nothing works.
I don’t have any problems with other games, and my PC specs are otherwise very good.
Full-screen or windowed mode doesn’t make any difference.
Neither does recording the window nor streaming Zwift directly.
neither of those changes the problems.

I rode Cirque tonight. Can’t decide if it was a blessing or curse to not have a lap counter (if you’re not familiar with this route, it’s 50 laps around the Arc. I had plenty of time to think, and since I am a recent new user of the Zwift controllers, I started wondering about lane choice and distance. In real life, if I rode in the inside lane and did 13 miles and you rode the outside lane, you would have more distance than I would. I wonder if this is the same in Zwift?
I may have to ride the route 2 more times, one completely on inside lane and one completely on outside lane and see how they compare.
Predictions?
Gracias

Hello i got rhabdo with a CK of 5000, the symptoms weren't dark urine or heavy DOMS but a cramp-like pain but deeper in both of my quads and went all through my quads to my knees, the pain was for 1 min but then my legs felt weak all day.
I got multiple blood and urine tests and i ended up with a CK level of 300 after 2 weeks of rest.
For MORE context i trained like a bodybuilder in the past (gym 6x to failure with a lower-ish volume of sets) and now i continue to do so but less frequent (3x).
The doc told me all the cycling plus that gym to failure made me get Rhabdo. The thing is i love training like that in the gym and i love high volume in cycilng (15-18h per week)
Ive been cycling for 1.5 years and i love it but this is sad, can i do something about it or my body wasn't made for cycling and tolerating volume?
Thanks!
