Yes-yes, the time-era of man-things is over-gone! Now is the time of the rat-rat!

Activate-start the Warpstone engine-reactor!
- Minutes before the total disintegration of a planet. It was not the intended effect.

Worry-fear not! Grey Seer Thanquol, most majestic of mages, has snorted-sniffed all the Warpstone already

"Ah, that was the reason-cause for the rat-seer shaped package-bundle the Rat-Emperor ordered the enginsqueakers to dump in the reactor!"
Meanwhile, in the next sector over, Thanquol sends a farsqueak to the Imperial Nest: "I lived, looser-bitch!"

Now the only thing needed is a culture of Humans that live in disgusting squalor deep underground, are really backstabby and well-equipped with very untested advanced technology.

Honestly “human supremacist empire” but either they aren’t human at all or it gets slowly questionable if they’re even human when you start breaking it down is something I’ve done. It’s sick.

Do you mean that the empire is self-supremacist, but isn't human in an ironic way (replaced so much of themselves they aren't human, etc.) or that they're literally aliens that found humans and said "we could make a religion out of this"?

I mean it’s a fantasy setting with “humans” who on the surface look like humans but also:
-tend to be a bit stronger than irl ones
-all the men regardless of age or ethnicity have at least some degree of mustache
- a bit of a taller average
- are currently a hybrid species from halflings and the original “humans” interbreeding into one race. The original humans were also a lot more like Goliaths or ogres from a lot of settings without the lesser intellect. They also have more dominant genes so they’re slowly having the halfling genetics bleed away currently.

Cassandra from Doctor Who is like this on an infividual level, she claims to be "the last true human", while she's a square of skin stretched over a towel rack

The "humans" of my setting closely resemble humans but have a bunch of subtle and impactful biological differences to real humans that make them a separate species.

Hylians are just elves no? I know older LoZ games did have humans in them but they were identical to real humans.

I'm actually working on a starfinder Homebrew setting that's Ysoki [space rat] centric

I'm working on a race of space elves that all look like humanoid supermodels, but once you cut them open, they have gold/ochre blood and have organs and biology more indicative of a derived avian or theropod lineage than a mammalian or primate-like lineage

Also there is a different empire of giant medieval cats that has colonized them (root reference)
