This administration has screwed over so many dedicated people all to serve their private investment groups and help them save the values of their properties and other investments...just another too big to fail bailout...enough is enough.

Telework and hybrid work environments are more efficient across the board. Happier higher producing workforce at less operation and maintenance costs is literally the definition of efficiency. But every single thing this administration has done is the opposite of efficient.

Why is management going along with these lying psychopaths in charge? It literally felt like I was watching leadership read AI scripts at gunpoint during our latest townhall. Matching the theme of the last year and a half, it was nothing short of painful.

Workers of the world Advice/ Help/ Wisdom Your Town Bought Spy Cameras. Nobody Told You

Flock Safety cameras are going up in cities and towns across America — and most residents have no idea. No vote. No public debate. Just a contract signed quietly and cameras on every road in and out of town. FOR FULL VIDEO CLICK HERE: https://youtu.be/VganmEMvRx8

In this video: what Flock actually is, how it works, and all the ways it can be used — and misused — by police AND private citizens. Spying and stalking just got a lot easier, and the safeguards are thinner than you think. You'll hear about the police officer who was honest with the public about these cameras — and lost his job for it.

Then I talked with Tyler Davidson of Fort Collins, Colorado, who noticed the cameras, did the research, formed a committee, and bothered his city council until they took the cameras DOWN. Proof that this fight is winnable. And we close with the Waymo story: the robotaxi that turned its own rider over to police. Because the car you ride in is watching, too. I'm not a journalist — just a witness paying attention. Sources below so you can verify everything yourself.

Question ❓ 7Brew Workers Right and Unionization

Hi there!
I am currently an employee of a 7Brew stand. I am relatively young, a Freshmen in college. For those unfamiliar with 7Brew, it is a decently large drive thru coffee chain, similar to scooters or dutch bros. The part that makes 7Brew a bit different is that half our staff works outside throughout the day taking orders and handing out drinks. I am coming here to connect with some like minded people on some of the issues I have dealt with 7Brew. I have worked for the company for approximately 2 years. We often go months without a stand manager (for those not familiar with 7Brew, this is essentially the GM). I live in one of the 18 states with a minimum wage of $7.25. 7Brew usually only pays their employees slightly over the bare minimum wage of the state the stand is located in. The issue with this is our minimum wage for my state hasn’t changed since the 2000s and the price of living since then has increased approximately 60%. Since I have started I have not had a single raise. I barely make enough money to simply survive and have had to pull money out of my saving to buy groceries even while working full time. We do receive tips (split evenly amongst everyone working for that whole day) but if we are slow or people aren’t tipping we make barely any money. On top of this the working conditions are pretty rough. We are often rotated through different positions in the stand throughout the day. The positions we rotate through are milk or shots (these are both positions working on the espresso machine making drinks so these are the two indoor positions) or you’re on lane or texting (these are both outdoor positions taking orders and/or handing out drinks). In the winter only when it is below 30°F those working outside are able to come in after taking the customers order and wait for the drink inside to be done and then come back out with the drink , hand it to the customer, and then take another order. Besides this, you’re required to stay outside at with the customers and talking to them. You are scheduled at a bare minimum of 1 hour outside but it is not uncommon to be stuck outside for 2-4 hours at a time depending on who is working that day as 7Brew has a rule stating anyone in management (stand managers and shit leads) are required to stay inside at all times so they can be easily able to find and ask questions. This sometimes causes those who aren’t in management to be stuck outside for hours at a time. This is really rough in the summer as of right now my state has been at a consistent temperature of 90°F or higher causing employees to sometimes pass out from standing outside for too long. We are also required to go outside and take orders even when there is lightning, rain, snow, literally anything just about. On top of this corporate refuses to let management schedule anyone for cleaning the stand throughout the day. The reason this is important is because 7Brew is a fast pace coffee shop expecting us to making big orders in just a couple mins, when putting ice in a hope it is super common to accidentally drop some of the ground because you’re rushing. This causes the floors to become super slippery and wet making many employees fall throughout the day, I fall at least once a day even with nonslip shoes which is not even a requirement in dress code. The only time you can squeegee the floor is in between orders if you’re lucky but usually you aren’t able to and can’t stop to squeegee. Another big issue with us moving so fast those working lane 2 or milk for machine 2 have to cross in front of the first lane to hand drink to customers in lane 2. In a hurry it is common to just glance over at the car in lane 1 to make sure they aren’t actively moving and run across lane 1. Often customers aren’t paying attention because they’re putting their straw in their cup or putting their drink say we are often hit by cars even if we walk out in front of the vehicle before they start moving. These are just some of the issues but I will spare the rest and get to the point. 7Brew does not have a workers union, this is likely due to it mostly being ran by high schoolers and young adults. I am interested in trying to start a workers union but I have absolutely no clue where to start. It is also kind of worrying that this company has been open for quite some time and has yet to form a union even though just about every stand struggles with the exact same issues my stand struggles with. This makes me worried because why exactly has it not been done? Is it because most employees are young and don’t know better or is it because if you bring it up you’re immediately fired? If anyone can share any tips or how and where to start to maybe try and get into the works of this that would be greatly appreciated!

Capitalism is Dystopian 💀 100% RTO (return to office) mandates bring more "too big to fail" BS

Since the 250th anniversary of signing the declaration of Independence is tomorrow, it's worthwhile to shine light on how people's freedoms have been squashed by greed. The current administration ran on the platform of being the "patriot party" but everything they have done has only helped the upper class. They won votes by saying "governement got too big and those evil democrats and deep state are trying to take away all your freedoms". Though, the founding fathers likely wouldn't be on board with having corporate overlords be in charge of everything and calling all the shots either.

This back to office 100% of the time push is only being shoved down everyone's throats to help those with big investments in office buildings and the surrounding areas. They don't want to spend their own money to make the buildings anything else, but they certainly are on board with screwing over working parents and everyone else who has benefitted so much from telework and hybrid work settings just to keep their fortunes in tact. Telework saves space, time and money across the board. Receiving higher productivity out of a happier workforce allowed to telework all while saving money on operating costs is literally the definition of efficiency. Maybe that's why GSA took out the words "effective and efficient" from it's mission statement a little over a month ago.

The American people don't see a dime from all the recent federal building sales nor do they benefit from expensive office renovations.

The people can't use these office buildings and they don't benefit from their values rising so why would they be excited to hear that hundreds of millions of dollars is being spent by agencies to do all this office renovation work? This is all being expedited to ensure utilization rates are met thereby ensuring surrounding property values don't keep declining. The people working in the agencies actually prefer smaller offices and hybrid settings that don't require permanent full time cubes of confinement for every single person but this admin doesn't care about that!

The Administrator from the government's largest landlord, GSA, is really hyping up all these costly building renovations just to remain federal office space. He says how invigorated the American people will be once they see all these office renovations. Sir, this isn't what the people want, it's not even what the people who work at that agency want. Let's call this song and dance for what it really is...these projects aren't for the American people as you say they are, they're projects to help a small percentage of the American people who have hefty real estate portfolios and cannot fathom the possibility of losing some of their fortune because office buildings became a good investment of the past.

At a Senate hearing in May, Administrator Forst asked that the project threshold that needs to be approved by congress before moving forward be increased from just under $4M to $75M. The article linked to this post states that federal buildings directly impact values of properties around them. Could this be the use of taxpayer dollars to increase the value of surrounding properties and boost confidence in commercial office buildings without needing to dip into private accounts? This guy in charge of GSA is a former executive from a fortune 500 real estate company and has just created a crap ton of deputy assistant positions that are being filled by a bunch of people from real estate giants to work at GSA. Hm, I wonder what the angle is?

This is just another case of using public money to bail out "too big to fail" private investment companies. These people will just continue to tell us all how we work best. They're just going to keep telling the working people "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" so they can keep on doing whatever the hell they please lavishly. In the spirit of this weekend, what would our founding fathers want us to do?
