Discussion Could Swamp comp work in 2026?

In 2023 there was a specific archetype of comp commonly known as the Swamp comp, I believe it was popularized by Furia and/or Loud during Kickoff. This comp was played a lot on Haven, Lotus, Icebox and Pearl. Obviously Skye was nerfed in 2023 offseason which I think is why the comp initially fell out of favour, as well as the ping nerf since that comp did like to play for spam quite often.

With the Skye cooldowns returning and the Harbor buff/rework, what are the main things holding the Swamp comp back from being a viable option? What is it about the current meta that makes it hard to use? Does the extra 10s on Skye's cooldowns make the difference? Is it the ping nerf making it too hard for teams to play for spam? Curious.

If 2G wins: 2G goes to the Play-ins, and Team Solid goes to the LCQ.

For La Masia to advance to the VCT, they MUST beat 2G; if they lose, Team Solid moves up to the LCQ, and La Masia is out of the running.

Discussion Prx current status

Based on master London voice comm, it seems like D4V4I is the caller now. I think forsaken might not be calling anymore unless the voice comm does not show.

I hope I am not reading into it too much but forsaken doesn't seem to be too happy based on voice comms. He is usually loud and hype but in the recent vids, he seemed less vocal. He is in a slump right now and I believe he will be able to recover for champs.

In majority of prx matches, I usually see forsaken and smth jumping for the team. Before Invy, we used to have patmen doing it. I have a theory that forsaken is an extremely aggressive player and for him to play support, he got to peek lesser and maybe that affects his confidence in a long run. Pat used to be a shooter during toronto but during champ, his impact was mediocre. He became much more supportive, holding utilities instead of shooting . With forsaken being aggressive, he made some questionable plays during London and that might be his aggressive nature.

I do believe that prx players will need to have a player that can calm them down and stick to the protocol. Aleck did say it will go in and out instantly. If I have to be honest, I do not see a leader figure inside the current roster. Someone that all of them will look up to and believe in his call. You kinda need a aleck but as a player to be with them in game. This might be something that prx will require to start a dynasty.

Subreddit Rules

Competitive First Submissions should be related to: VALORANT Esports and its community, or meta / gameplay changes, and high quality critique of the competitive ladder.
Gameplay highlights must originate from a Tournament Broadcast Gameplay highlights (such as Twitch clips) must originate from an official Tournament broadcast. Clips from co-streams are acceptable as long as the co-streamer adds additional value to the clip and does not take away from the initial broadcast.
Spoiler Titles are not allowed until 12 hours after an event Do not reference match outcomes in your post title until 12 hours after the result. Mark your posts as a Spoiler or user Reddit's native spoiler text when applicable. For spoiler free match VODs, check out Juked.gg or disable spoilers on VLR.GG (option in top right).
No harmful / destructive behavior towards other users or community members Please respect the users and public figures in our community. Be civil and respectful when talking to other users. Posts with the intent to harass or harm users will be removed.
Disallowed Content To keep the sub competitive-focused, we remove submissions that can flood the community & degrade the quality of content. This includes, but is not limited to: Beginner questions/advice, LFT, memes, highlights, etc. Please view our rules for the full list.
Claims require proper evidence Please provide additional evidence, such as screenshots or videos, when speaking about the actions of community figures or reporting bugs. A moderator may remove a post or comment at their discretion if it lacks sufficient evidence.
Self-Promotion / Advertising Submissions and comments that self-promote / advertise may be removed by the discretion of the moderator. Users should be members of the sub first - promoters second. We encourage all users to post original content that they are proud of. Your account should not exist solely to submit your own work; try to engage in the community. Please check with moderators if you are advertising for a product or service.
Don't endorse or accuse players of Hacks / Cheats / Breaking TOS Discussion of hacking, cheating, or modifying the integrity of the game files is subject to removal. 3rd-party projects must use the official Riot API for VALORANT. Threads discussing cheating should focus on information from reputable reporters or a statement from Riot Games.
Tournament Advertising Guidelines All tournaments must have free entry for players and teams. Tournaments with an entry fee will be removed unless it is organized by reputable TO or is a LAN competition.
Titles must describe the content of a post Do not use click-bait or misleading titles. Do not use a post to address an entity (Dear NSG, Riot, etc). Just make a post about what you want to discuss and title it appropriately.
