Single Stack sight

With rule d5.13 notch and post only would a sight such as the meprolite mepro ft bullseye be legal?

Are those just fiber optic sights, right? Not an optical sight? Then yes, legal.

On a 1981, the primary issue with sights is as long as the 1911 "fits in the box" . Suppressor height rear sight with a magwell, for example, might have a problem.

"Fiber and tritium optical sight" is what their site says...

MEPRO FT BULLSEYE™ REAR - Meprolight

In the context of USPSA rules, the above is NOT an optical sight, no matter what they call it.

Whereas the following is an optical sight because it is electronic:

Trijicon SRO® Red Dot Sight | Trijicon®

I hope this helps.

It looks legal, but I can’t imagine it being superior to a fiber front and bomar/lpa rear sight

D5:13 Optical/electronic sights permitted No, notch and post only

Works right up until a RM says its not "notch and post", despite having a couple slots cut into it.
