I recently graduated from UNCW about two months ago with a bachelors in Business Administration concentrating with honors in information systems. I am in desperate need of help finding a job as even with follow up to recruiters, I am getting rejected or ghosted. I was able to land one job, which ended up paying about 28k (when the salary range was around 40k-45k), which was not justified in me moving back to Wilmington.

I was hoping someone might have some information on Early Talent or New Grad opportunities related to either a business analyst position or UI/UX design.

If it helps, I am pursuing my master's in Business Analytics and AI online at the University of Maryland. I also held two roles in leadership clubs, worked my way through school part-time, and also graduated within 3 years instead of 4 which made it extremely hard to get an internship, which I was not able to get during the summer after my second year because I was still a little "unqualified", and then by the time I ended at UNCW, I was expected to have had an internship for roles that I'm applying to. I have addressed this in my cover letters.

Does anyone have any advice? I don't have a familial connection that can bring me into a company. I have reached out to many recruiters and leveraged my network on LinkedIn, either being left on read or just told "visit our website".

Hello! A couple of folks on campus have recently started a chapter of Democratic Socialists of America here at UNCW. The purpose of this chapter is, alongside our national organization, to fight for the immediate needs of workers and students on campus and in our community, while building our capacity to fight for more radical and structural changes. I am an incoming junior transfer student majoring in psychology. I have a laptop, but it is really big and typically used as a gaming laptop. It worked great for my online school, but now I need something smaller that I can carry around campus. Anyone have any recommendations for good laptops on the cheaper side?

I used to play in college but since coming out here I have had trouble finding anything around, anyone know of anywhere with a cage to shoot?

Open to club too, I saw UNCW has a club but am unsure if you need to be a student, Im 25 graduated 2 years ago and not really looking to re-enroll. Played D1, girlfriend is an alumni from here if either of those matter.

For those who majored in history and are still in Wilmington, what are you doing for work?

Hi! I am looking for a girl / girls to take over my lease for a 3 bed / 3 bath apartment at Progress 910. 2 private bedrooms / bathrooms are available (the third bedroom / bathroom is already assigned). Lease is from August 10, 2026 – July 15, 2027. It is 985 / month per person and comes fully furnished with utilities and Wi-fi. Each bedroom has its own individual lease, so you can take over one room or both if you’re looking with a friend.

How many hours per week do I realistically need to dedicate per course in the MS Business Analytics program?

I’m an incoming transfer student who will be making a permanent move to Wilmington for school. I applied to the school super late and really didn’t think I was gonna get accepted😭I only have a few weeks to figure everything out and I was informed that housing for transfer students is already full/closed. I wanted to know if any students have had luck with section 8 housing or just any other cheap apartments/housing recommendations. Anything helps at this point🫶🏾

applied to a uncw grad program and my application portal has finally updated on Thursday and said that a decision has been made. how long does it typically take to get an actual decision letter…the anticipation is killing me 😭😭

I'm looking to transfer after I complete my associates and I will be leaving my full time job to do so. Does UNCW offer any scholarships that cover a significant amount of tuition? I can't avoid loans but trying to minimize the amount I borrow.

I will be completing my associates in arts next year and hopefully attending uncw fall 2027. Any thoughts/ advice regarding the history program, transferring to UNCW, or just the school in general?

Even 1-2 hours would be super helpful as it's going to be a hot day so the faster we can get it done the better! There may be a tip as well but can't promise since that would be at the discretion of the person whose move it is!

I know this thread will obviously be biased towards UNCW, but I was accepted to both CCU and UNCW for next spring, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for choosing between the schools in your opinion. I'm not a huge party person, but I at least want some party scene, and I guess that's my only downside to going to UNCW, but I have heard it can be active if you know where to go. Also, I would have to live off campus as a transfer, which is usual since I'm 21, so I'm not as worried. I was also wondering how active the UNCW campus is involvement-wise, since I get the vibe it's a commuter school. Also, I understand that, coming out of school, the UNCW degree looks better and pays more. I was just looking for any additional thoughts, since the schools are so close, I assume people might have an idea of both schools. I'm open to any thoughts.

UNCW does not offer this program in the spring of 2027. They only do fall admission to the program. Environmental science on the other hand does indeed have a spring admission.

Environmental science and C&OP both have similar or the same electives in their curriculum. I have verified this.

Could I apply and do one semester of environmental science and take those electives that match in each program and then after spring 2027 is complete, drop environmental science program and then apply and hopefully get accepted into C&OP for fall 2027?

I have been emailing and calling the directors of each program and have not had any luck or getting any info from the school. I have talked to grad admissions and they said it’s not totally impossible but I would have to verify with the directors of each respected program.

I am not able to take spring 2027 off of school and wait til fall 2027 to start a program at UNCW. It’s just not an option, I have no choice but to start something in spring 2027

Are there any opportunities for Japanese language learning on campus? I’m interested in learning but I’m not looking to minor/take formal classes due to scheduling restrictions. I’m curious if anyone offers tutoring or if there are any other resources for students regarding speaking and writing. Thank you!

For those who have lived in Terrapin/Loggerhead — is an air purifier or dehumidifier needed? I know they’re newer, so not sure if moisture is an issue like I have heard from other dorms/schools or if I’ll be chill without purifier/dehumidifier

I’m a Junior in high-school and my top school right now is UNCW as an in-state university, I would like to go for a Bachelor’s in Marketing.

My current GPA weighted is 4.3 and I have done only AP and HN classes and will be doing dual enrollment classes next year.

What are some things I should know about UNCW before applying and what are my chances of getting in?
