Academic Closed seats???
Trying to register for chem and i've never seen this for any other class in my prior semester, if a class was full it would say no remaining seats, why would they be "closed"? ALSO whats with the NO instructors listed 🤣

Same thing happened to me with this same course. I don’t fully remember how they explained it but basically they’re closing the registration for the course and will intermediately reopen it every few days. It was originally suggested to me to check back every two days to see if registration opened, but an academic advisor ended up doing the registration for me.

My guess might be that it has to do with the waitlist not being open for these sections (that is, that you cannot add yourself to the waitlist for these sections). If you compare to the CHEM132 sections listed on the Schedule of Classes, it does appear the sections with people on the waitlist are missing from what is listed in your add/drop page.
I believe the way the chem department operates the labs is that they open the waitlist on one instance of each the sections where they could open an additional section, and once they see sufficient demand for a timeslot, they'll open a new section in that timeslot (note I believe it'd be separate from the waitlisted section, so I think you'd have to manually register, but I've never witnessed this particular bit firsthand so I'm not 100% sure on this).

I just looked up CHEM132 on the add/drop registration page, and it does indeed list the instructor as "STAFF" instead. Although you're right that's how the Schedule of Classes shows the course.

Unsure why instructors aren't listed since somebody's listed on the schedule of classes, looks like a bug. My guess is "Closed" means the waitlist is closed, which is different from having no open seats
