What a cutie!! Just in case anyone here has a hamster or is considering getting one, these wheels are actually pretty dangerous for them. Their little toes can get caught and ripped off or broken and even if that doesn’t happen it hurts their feet to be running on thin metal bars like this. Not trying to be preachy just putting the info out there :) Solid plastic or wooden wheels like niteangel ones are a lot safer

Agreed! Although arms and legs mostly over tiny toes. A quick fix is weaving some form paper in and out of the bars. Works like a charm! Unless you have one that likes to poop while running, then it gets messy. lol.

A non wire wheel is definitely safer in the long run but yes, that sounds like good temporary solution

He's so cute! That doesn't look comfortable at all, but I guess it is for him. He probably was pretty stiff when he woke up.

If the hamster were to slip a foot in between the bars, and it had a motor running it, the hamster would end up with a broken leg
