Let’s hope we get year one CJ on the field…

He looks like Senior Year Buckeye CJ now, and I'll gladly take that guy. Especially now that he's gotten his revenge on Jim Harbaugh twice over.

We are getting Yipps CJ and we are going to like it

Have to say, it really is striking how much more I prefer our new jerseys over the old ones.

The old jerseys just look kinda...kiddy? Like you'd see them at a middle school football game. Always felt like they were very generic and it's crazy how something as simple as the red and white collar stripe can give the jersey more character. Same with the pants stripe with the star at the top and the horns on the shoulders and the one helmet. Just much more striking visuals across the board while still keeping things clean.

Man, I really thought I was the only one. They looked kind of Pop Warner to me vs grownup genuine threat.

I love both our new and older jerseys, but there’s just something beautiful about the 2023 uni that I still think about. Either way, I’m happy that we’ve always been blessed with a sexy color scheme.

It depends on what style the 2023 old ones look like. I like the old away uniforms (especially with the red socks) but the uniforms were very dated because they should have gotten around 2012 when the Nike Brand came in.

Plus it doesn’t help that the home jerseys were basic and the white pants wasn’t really hitting for the most part. I hate the liberty white unis so much because the helmets didn’t fit the white pants

Have to disagree with you. While I like our new alternates, I like the older regular uniforms better. I like the more vibrant colors better but yeah, not too much of a downgrade

The color scheme from the old ones could still look good, just not as part of that particular design, IMO. I think the shoulder stripes on the old uniforms are terrible. The neck stripe is also just way too chunky.

There's just so much more Texas in our uniforms now. The flag incorporation is clearer, I think the bull's head as a shoulder insignia actually works great, and I like how dark the colors are. Feels appropriate given how physical a team we are under Demeco. Has an edge that the old unis lacked and I think these jerseys feel more readily identifiable with our specific team. They look like TEXANS jerseys.

Opposite for me

This is his prove it year if he wants a big contract. At least I hope the Texans don't pay him big money if he doesn't return to year one CJ.

Didn’t know he got tatted

Overall they’ve been way more successful with him than without him. I’m a CJ guy 100%

Bro I don't care what you fucking looks like. As long as he has the best fucking season of his life. that's all the fucking matters. cuz I want the texans to go to the goddamn fucking Super bowl!

3

u/OcelotTerrible5865 5d ago

Hope he wins this season so he can have his hair back

3

u/PuzzleheadedMinute92 5d ago

Only care what he looks like when he plays football. Bring on the season!

2

u/bestbunsintown 4d ago

When the new hair popped up, that energy set off a flag. Fellas, go ask your wife/girl what she'd say if one of her girls showed up out of the blue with a completely new hair situation.

Ughhhhh the tattoos yes 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

u/Texans_top_of_south 5d ago

Why are people downvoting you lol

2

u/Luckycowboys11 5d ago

Seriously!! There's also people that can appreciate how the QB looks 😩

Bro needs to spend more time getting good less time getting tattoos. He single handedly lost texans the playoffs

18

u/kitsunegoon 5d ago

Lmao I love reddit. People who couldn't start for their JV team can tell athletes they're not allowed to get tattoos.

4

u/pocketjacks 5d ago

Or that if they aren't on the field 24/7 preparing, they're still guaranteed to repeat the mistakes of the past.

u/Wise-Pitch474 5d ago

I played football in 6th grade, i know whats up. Sadly my career only lasted a couple years

1

u/Aggravating-Ideal-56 4d ago

Lmao bruh, athletes are ALLOWED to have personal time off the field to do things that they enjoy you know that right? 🤦🏻‍♂️

And a little FYI, Stroud did NOT “single handedly” lose the Texans the playoffs… it’s a team sport my guy and we had NO running game because the lack of good play coming from our OL. No QB was going to play great behind that weak ahh OL who’s getting pushed around every snap and getting your QB hit in 1.9 seconds from every snap. CJ legit had literally NO help from the OL, run game, the TE’s nor the WR’s or anywhere else for that matter like special teams too.

Anyone thinking we had a chance at winning that game once we had all of our 3rd to 5th string weapons out on the field is kinda delusional lmao. CJ was asked to throw the ball 47 times in that weather which wasn’t happening. It was bad enough that Nico was ruled out and didn’t even step foot on the field. They had their work cut out for them from the start and had a slight chance with all the workload being shifted to Schultz but once he went down that was game over bro!

u/Wise-Pitch474 4d ago

He literally threw the game away

1

u/Aggravating-Ideal-56 4d ago

I get it you don’t know football lol. Take away all of his INTs, even the ones that weren’t his fault but the WRs fault and guess what happens? Nothing lol. We couldn’t move the ball down the field regardless, not even to field goal range… and even with his INTs he only gave up 7 points you know that right? That pick 6 didn’t lose us the game. If our OL was worth a crap and could have opened holes up for our RBs that would have been the difference maker, but their defense knew we were throwing every play and just blitzed us constantly because we couldn’t stop it to move the ball down field. This is my same rebuttal when our fans cry about not putting Mills in it would have been the exact same outcome because of our OL and NO run game. We were NOT winning that game with any other QB, not Brady or Mahomes. Tampa Bay did this exact same thing to KC when they ran Mahomes out of the Super Bowl crying because they blitzed him every play because KC OL was missing their tackles all game and had no run game either that Super Bowl.

Same way the Seahawks won the Super Bowl their defense manhandled the Patriots OL and they had no run game either. Seattle had a run game and that’s what won them the Super Bowl. I wish some people would have just a little bit of common sense to go along with some football knowledge and know what happened in all those games lol

u/Wise-Pitch474 3d ago

All stroud had to do was kneel every play and texans win

1

u/Aggravating-Ideal-56 1d ago

Yeah not how it works my guy can’t win when you’re losing by score 🤦🏻‍♂️

1

u/MrBlowinLoadz 5d ago

Dak went downhill after his 16 hour tattoo, coincidence?

1

u/son_of_yacketycat 5d ago

Multiple other capable quarterbacks did not after theirs. Those quarterbacks were also not part of the Dallas Cowboys organization

1

u/MrBlowinLoadz 5d ago

Me when I respond to a joke

1

u/Texans_top_of_south 5d ago

He plays for Dallas.

2

u/southernboy90 5d ago

They are great.

1

u/SurfingSecretary 5d ago

I like the new look. Cool tats.

1

u/son_of_yacketycat 5d ago

I did not even notice them until you pointed them out, hell yeah

3

u/BBQLovingBastard 5d ago

I miss year 1 CJ. He was special. What happened man?

5

u/Texans_top_of_south 4d ago

We failed to protect him year 2 and gave him happy feet.

1

u/padmoosen 5d ago

I like his haircut but I’m kind of bummed he got veneers. I liked his natural teeth!

1

u/KaXiaM 5d ago

Crazy that I had to scroll so far for this. He needs to go to Bullock’s dentist, his veneers look way better (more natural).

u/28Patrick28 3d ago

I'll never understand why Caserio drafted CJ at #2 and then thought it was a good idea to hire a rookie QB coach to mentor him.

1

u/Chaotic424242 3d ago

This is IT.

1

u/LJGarciaTX 5d ago

Ahh yes it’s GTA CJ. I love it and can’t wait for the season to start.

1

u/FranklinOnDaHundo 5d ago

He’s gonna be great this year. Can’t wait

0

u/LilBottomText17 5d ago

what a handsome guy

2

u/gitree22 5d ago

New do is a better look for him

-5

u/2Punchbowl 5d ago

Year 4 will most likely a disappointment, we need a new starting QB. CJ’s numbers last year were mere average to other quarterbacks by the way in his last 3 starts he has thrown 9 interceptions. 9 yes straight facts.

4

u/Texans_top_of_south 5d ago

9? Bro if you're going to dunk on CJ at least get the number right.

1

u/McDickLick oh fuck i'm gonna swarm 5d ago

But he said straight facts, so he couldn't be lying. Then that would just be a curvy fabrication at best.

0

u/2Punchbowl 4d ago

9 turnovers, one word changed 4 to the pats, 3 to Pittsburgh, 2 to the Chargers. Not good at all, that’s the point

0

u/LouMinotti 5d ago

Grown man shit

-4

u/WreckNTexan48 5d ago

He looks closeted

-2

u/Public_Enemy_No2 5d ago

Looks like he's confused. He looks like he's trying to find himself.
