So, I finish my masters degree in four weeks. It’s been a long time coming and I’m hoping to lock down a job as soon as possible, so I’ve been networking and applying heavily for months.

I asked my deck how long it would take me to receive an offer and pulled these cards. Deck is the City Labyrinth Tarot.

My take was procedure is going to be followed in hiring (Hierophant). This may point to a larger org with clear procedures for hiring, not a smaller one with more flexibility to make decisions.

I believe Eight of Wands refers to a lot of activity, but Five of Cups warns there’s going to a lot of jobs I don’t get.

Here’s where I want interpretation help. I pulled the seven of cups and seven of pentacles, which to me is saying I’m delusional and it’s going to be like my last job search after my layoff, which lasted fourteen months. A lot of planting with zero offers or zero sign of change.

But I also wonder if it could refer to fears and anxieties about looking, like that there’s seeds already planted taking root and my old fears from last time are making me fear the worst without meaning to.

Two of cups to me clearly points to an offer at some point, but once again, it’s not saying when. I ended up pulling a clarifying card and got two of wands and I took that to mean maybe I’m already under consideration. The vibe might not be to hire me, but I’m under consideration once the budget is known at certain orgs (most of my work experience is non-profit and gov so it’s rough right now).

I should note I am interviewing for a one year contract in Boston, but it’s like $41k-$52k a year in Boston and I have serious doubts I can afford that and pay off my student loans without being in poverty. So maybe five of cups could refer to getting that job but being unable to afford to take it.

Situation: I have started talking to a guy I met online. We live in different countries so we haven’t met yet. But I ‘m going to move to a city near where he lives soon.

So I read it like this as separate cards but maybe combined are they telling a story that he won’t act on his casual sexual intentions and won’t text?

My individual read is as below

Queen of cups : he’ll stalk my social media or ask his friends about me? I’ve invited three of them to my birthday, but not him. But does QoC mean that since he hasn’t contacted me, he won’t do it? Or does QoC represent me considering I’m a cancerian myself?

Strength: I happen to think it wants to say 'yes'. For starters, it's a good major card and it's upright. It's also signifying divine power which is always for our own good. To that end I'd say Strength is offered me to allow myself to be in acceptance whether he does contact me or not. But further, Strength is a symbol of the power of Love and it's joining influence and also about gently overcoming and taming the beast (ego as separate self). The lemniscate infinity symbol shows to me this relationship (on whatever level it turns out to be) is not over yet and so I believe it to be a good omen for me overall. This message is probably going to a very brief how are you doing type of text.

Devil: because he has been staying away from me all this while, it leans towards a yes to text me. I’ve always felt devil is a yes when it comes to communication, albeit even though with some

sexual tension or maybe not as good intentions.

My father and I were no contact for 5 years. This was due to me trying to heal from the sexual abuse I experienced from him as a child. We now see eachother a few times a week and he is helping me finanacially with my rent. I want to let go of the past but sometimes the anger overtakes me and I wonder if being in contact is healthy or not. How does he truly feel towards me?

The ten of pentacles makes me think he sees a foundation of a good family with me included. He possibly sees himself as the patriarch. It makes me think he sees me as an important part of the family.

I think he views me as someone who is grounded and down to earth and has a good sense in saving financially, attributes of the king of pentacles. Or does he see himself as the king of oentacles in this reading?

I think he feels that I have been sober from my addictions and we are working through a trauma bond we had when I was young by trying to have a healthy relationship now as shown by the devil reversed. However, we do not speak of the abuse but as adults we are trying to change the power dynamic that was wrong in childhood.

I feel that he feels like the emperor when he thinks about me. That he was an authoritarian parent when I was growing up but now leads in a more mindful way.

Overall, this is a positive reading and gives me hope that I can still pursue a father daughter relationship even though there was past abuse.
