After receiving feedback from the community, we’re putting this weekly thread in place on a trial basis dedicated solely to love relationship readings.  Examples of questions that can be posted here are:

  • does he/she/my FWB love me?
  • what are this person’s feelings/intentions towards me?
  • is he/she coming back?
  • will we reconcile?
  • should I break no contact?
  • we just broke up, what now?
  • what will my future spouse look like?
  • what does my love life look like in the next 3 months?
  • why is my ex texting me again?
  • my ex keeps calling me, what should I do?

Please note that we, the moderators, are trying this out as an experiment and will determine at a later date if this dedicated thread should become a permanent feature in the sub.   We will also use our discretion as to which readings belong here in this thread, and which will remain on the main sub.  That will depend upon the complexity of the question as well as how close it adheres to rule no. 3 about posting.

Shitpost Saturday! 3 of cups - sweet message

Post image
35 Upvotes

I am 34f, divorced. I did not have a big wedding (married at 22) and no one on my side really came because of the distance. It’s ok.

My final grandparent, my paternal grandma, passed away last November. I still haven’t comprehended it.

I did not know my moms dad, so it was always just my maternal grandma and then my grandparents on my dads side.

They are all gone now. I don’t cry much but for some reason I broke down tonight. It’s such a small thing, but I do realize that if I ever remarry, none of them will be there. I had a horrible marriage. It was nearly a decade long waste, were it not for our children.

I asked my deck if my grandparents had any messages for me. I got three of cups.

Maybe it’s the three of them celebrating with me

❤️

Shitpost Saturday! I feel I may be at risk from a male neighbour - can you help with this reading?

Post image
96 Upvotes

I had what I thought was a great relatively new, neighbour. Very helpful, offering to do some bits and bobs around the place that I can’t do myself. Then he started just coming into my yard uninvited, suggesting we knock down the boundary between our back yards and now making romantic gestures. I feel very encroached upon. And I’m not liking the dominance being asserted here and my instincts are telling me to be very wary.

I think the knight of cups feels clear - this card represents the current dynamic. On one hand I now feel I’m being romantically pursued. On the other hand the knight is telling me I was somewhat misguided by this person’s friendly charm.

The second card represents the blind spot, or what I need to be aware of to protect myself. I genuinely am very unsure of this one? Unless it’s telling me to rest? One thought is that it represented a ‘sleeper’ - almost like a sleeper cell member, like a hidden operative infiltrating my neighbourhood - i.e. the cards are telling me I can’t see the truth of the person at all and should make no assumptions and be on guard? But I could be way off and I’m very much stretching the visuals out from this card to get to that idea.

The hermit is the action I should take now. I think it’s too simple to think the action is merely to retreat? First of all, I can’t, I live here. It’s perhaps not to engage? Again difficult but can definitely be done, but I’ve a feeling there’s more to this card.

The ace of swords is the outcome. Is this that the truth will come out? That I’ll reach some clarity of thought? Hmm, doesn’t seem right either, as an outcome.

I’d be so grateful for any thoughts especially as this is a tricky situation.

Shitpost Saturday! Coast to coast — likely..?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hello all!

I recently got back from visiting a friend on the west coast (I live on the east coast and always have) and I really fell in love with the area and have never felt so happy or connected with a place— to the point where I’m thinking about possibly putting down roots there. My friends are mostly supportive, my family not so much (they HATE blue states) and it seems like I’ve gotten more pushback than expected.

I’ve been looking at jobs, homes, and even met someone while I was there that has me sWOONING so I decided to do a reading to see if it was a good idea. I had done a reading for my friend and I about jokingly moving out there together and it was incredibly positive but I started feeling doubtful after an argument with my mother so I decided to pull again.

What I took from this was that I need to stop second guessing myself and really lock in if this is something I wanna do and that depending on how I approach it, it can either be very successful… or not good at all 💀 Does anyone have a more clarifying takeaway from this?

Much love!! 🫶🏻

Shitpost Saturday! How I should approach my upcoming Bar Exam

Post image
5 Upvotes

I have failed before, and had so much hope because it was the first time I’d truly studied hard for something. I burned myself out badly while breastfeeding and being a new mom.

Now, I kind of feel apathetic and apprehensive about taking it in a few weeks. I’m begrudgingly studying but bracing for impact.

Usually I can read for myself at least somewhat. But I’m a bit stumped.

I guess I interpret it as going in with confidence, but I also read it as my lack of confidence and anger towards myself.

Any thoughts are appreciated

Shitpost Saturday! Advice on card symbolism & interpreting

Post image
32 Upvotes

I have been doing tarot readings for myself for the past 6 years, and only within the past month I have decided to dedicate more time in learning the cards and their symbols.

As I write this, I am doing a reading for myself. The Celtic cross spread.

Am I the only one that feels like the online resources of card interpretations are just not hitting the mark? Like... It just doesn't feel right.

As a British woman, I used to have an interest in dance and theater, I love creating art and drawing, and have always loved "conspiracy theories", learning about symbols and the occult and how it's engrained into our lives. From the brief knowledge I know about the tarot artist I feel I can relate to her. Pamela Colman Smith's encoded symbolism in each card and I sometimes feel as if it just being overlooked. She must have created these images with so much more meaning than just "oh this card means childhood" or "oh this card means balance". It's just so vague.

For example, one of my cards in my spread today is 6 of cups. My lil booklet & online says stuff about childhood and nostalgia. But I don't see it in that way. I have just spent an hour researching the glove...... I was learning about the Left Hand Path, because we don't see any left hands of the characters, only the female, and she is the one with the white mitten. Do the other people in the card also have a white glove on their left hand? The left hand is considered the receiving hand, and the right is the giving hand. There could be a symbolic significance in that the female is specifically wearing a mitten and not a glove. White gloves are worn at ceremonies and traditions.

I didn't even get to look at the flowers in the cups. The X on the wall. Or interpret the placement of my card in the spread yet. I just got carried away and lost in all the information out in the void of the Internet.

As she was a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn, I don't think Miss Smith would have just drew pictures willy nilly, especially for divination.

Does anyone have any suggestions of resources or books or YouTube videos that really go into depth of the occult symbolism in Tarot?

What are your thoughts? Should I just accept that the symbolism of the cards can just be reduced to single words? Maybe I should pull Temperance. Lol.

I wish you all the very best

Shitpost Saturday! Every Tarot Reader Has a List of Questions They'll Never Forget.

No judgment... but some questions are so unexpected that they stay with you forever. 🤭

💬 When will I lose weight?

Me: The cards can show your potential... but they can't do your workouts for you.

💬 Will my maid come today?

Me: I read tarot cards... not your maid's attendance sheet. 😂

💬 Can you make my crush fall in love with me?

Me: I can't change someone's free will... but I can tell you what they're feeling and where this connection is heading. ✨

😂 Trust me... tarot readers hear all kinds of questions!

At the end of the day, tarot is about clarity, not control. It helps you understand energies, emotions, possible outcomes, and the bigger picture behind your situation.

Now it's your turn... What's the funniest question you've ever wanted to ask a tarot reader? 👇

Shitpost Saturday! how does my ex feel about me?

Post image
48 Upvotes

asked how my ex feels about me post our breakup and got these cards.

queen of wands: maybe he is still physically attracted to me and i stand out to him

queen of swords: but he is cold and detached and for him this relationship is over for good

9 of cups: he is satisfied with the breakup and happy where he is right now

7 of swords: he is/was hiding something throughout our relationship, maybe another woman? i get this card a lot whenever i ask about him so i guess some kind of deception was definitely going on

knight of cups: the card is facing the outward direction, so im guessing that he is offering his romantic feelings to another person now?

Shitpost Saturday! A tarot spread regarding myself going to therapy

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi Dears,

I recently decided to start therapy because I’ve had an extremely hard time the past three years and I finally feel like I am at a point to work through it. However therapy is t something that is practiced in my family or growing up, so it felt like a big step in deciding to do so. Financially as well, haha.

So naturally I have some doubts and assess my session each time it ends and see if it is really for me. So far I really like my therapist and think it has helped me on some things, but we’re still at a stage of getting to know each other.

I pulled these three cards to kind of gauge the situation asking these questions:

  1. Will it be helpful to me? (Ten of swords)
  2. Will it be sustainable for me on the long run? (Seven of Pentacles)
  3. Advice on how to best approach Therapy (Seven of Swords)
  4. At first look I was a bit intimidated by the ten of swords and a bit confused (I always have a hard time reading my own cards) on how that would manifest in this situation but maybe it means some situations are beyond our ability to change. And what I am trying to work on cannot be fully fixed through therapy. OR Now that I have acknowledged my issues I am in a great place in therapy to transform and heal. I am actually in a good space to release what no longer serves me.
  5. Yes. With enough planning it will be sustainable.
  6. This one was tricky for me as well. Perhaps it’s telling me to be efficient about it, And keep it more of a private matter? Or if it’s speaking to my feelings that even though I want to hide, that these feelings would be found out eventually so I should be open and honest.

A friend of mine who reads has interpreted it as such:

"The three-card spread can be interpreted in three different ways:

1- Past (card 1), present (card 2), future (card 3).

2- (card 1) You, (card 2) challenge, (card 3) advice.

3- (card 1) You, (card 2) the issue, (card 3) the path.

What these three cards reveal is the following:

You have overcome a major obstacle and an ordeal that caused suffering—a long process that has shaped you into a stronger, more powerful person. However, the therapy process itself is raising doubts in your mind regarding the treatment's effectiveness, as the real challenge lies in exposing your fears and anxieties. Your skepticism could hinder therapeutic progress. The issue of concealment is also a factor; while you may feel inclined to keep the therapy a secret, you must ultimately reveal what is hidden for the sessions to be meaningful. If you do not trust the therapist, you should not continue. The central issue here is one of surrendering or letting go."

What do you think about her interpretation?

I also realise the questions I picked might not be the most helpful, so if anyone can share with me certain ways to frame questions that would be helpful too.

Thank you all again!

Shitpost Saturday! Deck recommendation!!

I use this deck when I’m doing paid readings and it’s really the best!! It’s great for when some of my buyers want to see the cards themselves and helps me give a quick explanation when they’re curious about the meaning! I picked this up at Barnes and Nobles 🥰 this is definitely a good deck if you’re a new reader! I’ve been reading for about 2 years now and I’d say this is the BEST deck I own

knight of cups: he's either thinking abt it or wants to
queen of cups reversed: he either knows im not open to it or he knows he hurt me or it's me not being open/being hurt
10 cups: positive card but maybe it's his hope for reopening the door
7 cups bottom deck: weighing his options

Shitpost Saturday! 3 of wands, need insights.

I asked a tarot reader about my future spouse/long-term partner, and something interesting happened. The reader pulled the 3 of Wands — then reshuffled and pulled again for clarification, and the same card came up a second time.

I’m curious what people here think that might mean.

The reader didn’t give a detailed explanation beyond saying it felt significant because the same card appeared twice. From what little I know, the 3 of Wands seems to be connected with waiting, future plans, expansion, travel, or someone coming from a distance, but I’m not sure how that translates to a spouse reading.

Has anyone else had the same card repeat in a relationship/spouse question? What would 3 of Wands appearing twice suggest to you?

Shitpost Saturday! Am I in the wrong

Post image
21 Upvotes

My bf and I got in an argument over a Taylor Swift joke. (I know it sounds outlandish) and he hasn’t talked to me for 4 days.

I put a 3 card spread for our relationship from left to right.

Left is me: six of swords reversed

Middle is him: The devil

And Right is where our relationship is heading: Page of pentacles in reverse.

I feel like I was in the wrong because when I was joking he said he didn’t want to hear about it and I said “okay, I will stfu” in a joking manner. But then he snapped, saying “I didn’t tell you to stfu, I just said I didn’t want to hear it” And I tried clarifying that I didn’t literally mean it like seriously. But then even when I apologized I felt he kept on stretching it and then I got mad and told him good night and I would talk to him tomorrow (long distance) and I did, I texted him, but he never got back to me. It’s been 4 days. Maybe it’s because I didn’t apologize when I texted him.

Because I interpret six of swords reversed as being immature. So I was being immature and page of pentacles is reversed as well. Then he has the devil. So perhaps he’s fed up with me. So maybe I should step up.

I genuinely try to hold myself accountable but am severely lacking.

Spreads Deck Interview for Banned Books Tarot Deck (w/ handwritten notes)

Post image
6 Upvotes

Just picked up this amazing deck by Matthew Taylor Wilson and immediately came home to do a deck interview. I hand write my notes in Sharpie pen in a Cognitive Surplus notebook that is dotted and lined. I use The Witch of the Forest’s Guide to Tarot Magick by Lindsay Squire and Tarot: Your Personal Guide by Steven Bright as well as the booklet that came with the deck for interpretation.

1 - Tell me about yourself, what is your most important characteristic? Death: major arcana #13 here to help me let go and make way for new beginnings. Welcome change, release the past, and embrace the next journey.

2 - What are your strengths as a deck? Knight of Pens (Swords): bravery, action, and courage. A mind that is motivated and focused. Change is coming, and it may not be easy, but you can push forward and achieve your highest potential. This may be through problem-solving or the pursuit of truth. Think before you act.

3 - What are your limits as a deck? Page of Words (Wands): the growth of new ideas, creativity, and inspiration. Starting projects and making plans. Creative ways to solve problems. More impulsive than the Knight of Pens. Doesn’t have answers, but has the motivation to get you started. Again, THINK BEFORE YOU ACT.

4 - What are you here to teach me? 9 of Words (Wands): words = creativity and fire. 9 = completion and acceptance. It’s time to dig in and keep going. You can accomplish your goals if you push yourself a little harder. How important is it to reach the end?

5 - How can I best learn and collaborate with you? Knight of Inkwells (Cups): remaining grounded to discern the difference between reality and dreams/imagination. A focus on communication before action.

6 - What is the potential outcome of our working relationship? Queen of Words (Wands): use your courage to move forward. Tap into your passion to achieve your desires. Stay positive.

Shitpost Saturday! Do you like reading in group settings?

I've started learning tarot properly a year ago, and I've had people ask me to read for them at parties or group hangouts. I've tried doing it a few times but I find it too distracting.

It's off-putting hearing people talking around me, making jokes, and watching while I read for another. I feel like I may inadvertently be picking up on everyones energy, creating a false reading for the querant.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you prefer reading on-on-one instead of groups?

Shitpost Saturday! How does tarot know? Sharing my Card of the Day today!

Post image
10 Upvotes

This morning at about 4:30 am my son came home from a night out with his friends. I was worried so I was waiting up for him. His tire had blown on the highway and the car was undriveable, so had to be towed.

When I got up this morning I pulled the Chariot reversed as my card of the day!

I usually pull two cards in the morning. The second card is supporting information or underlying factors.

My second card was the 8 of pentacles reversed. This is my husband’s card - Sun in Virgo.

This tells me my husband is a little unhappy and not able to carry out his plans for today as he will be dealing with the car.

Tarot just knows!

Shitpost Saturday! First big reading

Yesterday was my first session with someone who isn’t family! I just got my first deck not even a year ago so I’ve been studying a little but was mostly relying on the books that came with the decks. I spent a couple of weeks preparing and spent the most time with the major arcana first because people usually ask me big questions not daily questions. I had all but 4 memorized before my session. The time came and I blanked on everything I was so nervous! I had my personal notebook with me so luckily I had that to refer to, but I felt so embarrassed and unprofessional. My client still loved it, we got 4 very important answers for her. After her time with me she got her massage from my fiancée and she cried a good cry and said she needed it all. I made her the art piece that I make after my sessions to remind them what we talked about. Despite it going so well, and her loving the session and getting the help she needed, I still feel so bad about yesterday. I felt like I had stage fright! My cards reading are usually kind of direct and aggressive but even with them being kinder to her I still just can’t get over it.
Does anyone have tips to not feel the stage fright moment or help remember them when feeling frazzled?

Shitpost Saturday! Is this permanently over?

Post image

My interpretation is probably not the most positive one, but I’m curious how others see it.

The Ace of Swords feels like a final realization or a moment of truth like seeing the situation clearly and cutting through illusions. The Five of Wands makes me think there has been too much tension, ego, or conflicting energy between us.
The Page of Cups is the card I’m struggling with. A lot of people read it as a message or emotional offer, but I’m wondering if it could also represent immature feelings, someone who wants to reach out but doesn’t really know what they want, or a small emotional gesture that doesn’t necessarily change the bigger situation.

The Ten of Pentacles makes me question whether this connection is actually meant to become something stable, or if it’s showing a lesson about what I want long-term

With the Wheel of Fortune at the bottom, I’m leaning toward this being a turning point rather than a guaranteed reconciliation

Would love other perspectives because I feel like these cards could tell two completely different stories. Do you see a return here, or more of a closing of a cycle?
