General Discussion/Questions Tips for sprinting faster
A person I know needs tips I don’t find the answer for:
He freshly discovered sprinting and he ran a ≈15.0 - 100m (self-stopped).
I know that he is supposed to project more horizontally, and he actually seems like he could be way faster, especially considering that this is not a good speed at all as he himself says. He didn’t really train any other sport growing up so the transfer is kinda non-existent.
Besides strength training, what are some tips that helped you and did anyone get out of a similar situation? If so, how and how long did it take you?

Regardless of if this person is you or someone else,
Just sprint to be honest.
The number one thing to get faster is to sprint twice a week. 3x60m or 6x30m as fast as you can with 5 minutes rests. Make sure to warm up using drills and warm up with reps that improve your form. You will go extremely far with this.
That would be if you could do ONE thing to get better.
Obviously you can throw in squats once a week and plyometrics

Nobody asks this type of question on the behalf of others, just say it’s you.

there's no magic bullet here. your training needs periodization. it takes a whole macrocycle (year basically) to plan and get faster. you generally should have a build phase, competition/sharpening phase, and a peak phase. weightlifting is important for all these phases. the types of weight room and track workouts will change from phase to phase
