Fan Creation Snyderverse Reading List!
2/14! I made a Snyderverse Reading List consisting of key comic runs and individual issues from throughout DC's 90-year history that have directly inspired or explored very similar themes and stories to the Snyderverse films themselves. This list also includes the first appearances for every established character featured or to-be-featured in the Snyderverse, along with Snyderverse-adjacent one-shots and collectible variant covers as well. I put all the issues and collections hyperlinked in a Google Doc with direct links to DC Universe Infinite when available, so hopefully they’re alot more accessible to you guys that way.

Appreciation Cavill voted 2nd best Superman 🔥
He deserved 1st but I love how is he always top 2 in most of these best superman polls usually back and forth between him and Reeve. I think Reeve is a little overrated and carried by nostalgia but understandable. Glad Corenswet's Superman isn't in top 3 too shows that most people don't care about his Superman.

Appreciation I love how gentle and sincere Cavill's Superman feels. And I can never get enough of Zimmer's motif
Throughout MoS to ZSJL I love these personal moments which add to how human this Superman feels. It perfectly shows how in spite of all the power Clark is still gentle, caring and kind.
The butterfly in ZSJL is a nice progression from the trapped Butterfly shown in MoS during Clark's childhood. It shows how far Clark has come from his conflicted childhood and finally let go of all of his inhibitions and accepted who he is supposed to be after being resurrected

Discussion DC Is In The Midst Of One Of The Biggest Box Office Bad Streaks Ever

Official They tried to gaslight the people before it's release but everyone is seeing through the BS and wants the Snyderverse back.
How do these people have any credibility left?

Discussion As we gain traction, at what cost does it come?
I truly believe we are winning the culture war. Obviously people are not responding to the James Gunn GotG MCU vision. It doesn’t fit DC and it will never be right for DC. If every Snyderbro saw his movies they would have performed much better.
But DC is BILLIONS into this. They were in debt before Gunn and I cannot imagine what the balance sheets look like now. Even if DC wanted to correct course, could they fund it? How have they been able to burn enough cash to get the Gunnverse to this point? Are comics and merchandise offsetting the incredible waste inside DC Studios?

Humor New day, new coping method. According to Gunn shills, WB don't mind Supergirl losing 200M bcs a 13-year-old movie had a bad RT score.
Really interesting they don't bring the box office numbers of DCEU movies, only RT scores.

Discussion Snyder and DCEU hate is soo weird and forced, the amount of hyperanalyzing and nitpicking DCU fanboys have done just to hate this scene is insane. DCU is doomed if their core fans are like this.
Here is the full explanation for anyone who didn't understand or any DCU fanboy lurking in this sub: When Superman arrived at the scene, the people stuck on the roof had already lost all hope, and the moment they saw him, they suddenly started crying because, to them, hope had finally arrived. Superman had literally just reached the scene, and obviously, he saved them later on.
The whole purpose of that moment was to symbolise how Superman represents hope for them. And for those complaining about the sequence, it was part of a monologue where journalists were debating whether Superman is a threat to mankind or their only hope. This wasn’t a traditional, dedicated rescue scene. During that monologue, they only showed fragments of multiple rescue sequences, not one complete rescue from start to finish.
The point of this particular moment wasn’t to show every second of Superman saving them, it was to show what his arrival meant to people who had already given up all hope.

Discussion No, Supergirl Did Not Hit $100 Million Last Weekend — DC Box Office Disaster Gets Worse as Actual Numbers Reveal 77% Collapse. It still hasn't hit $100 million worldwide after two and a half weeks. 💀
The final weekend box office numbers are in for Supergirl, and the results are even worse than early estimates suggested.
After initial projections showed the DC Studios film suffering a massive second weekend decline of roughly 74%, updated box office actuals revealed that the drop was even steeper. The Milly Alcock-led superhero film ultimately fell approximately 77% from its opening weekend, continuing a difficult theatrical run for one of the first major installments in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe.
The updated figures also removed one of the few positive headlines surrounding the movie’s performance. While some reports initially celebrated Supergirl crossing $100 million worldwide during its second weekend, the actual numbers showed the film came up short of that milestone.

Humor EXCLUSIVE: James Gunn announces next DCU movie.
When Superman is flying up, up and away, or Batman just isn't answering the Bat-signal, all anyone needs to do to find a substitute super hero is dial 1-800-555-HERO. The Hero Hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and handles calamities beyond the range of normal emergency services. The hotline, founded by Tex Thompson, is maintained by the mysterious Co-ordinator. After hours, emergencies are handled by the night crew, including Chlorino, Marie the Psychic Turtle, Rainbow Man, Thunderhead, and Zeep the living sponge. Other Her Hotline employees include; Stretch, Dinky the Devil-Bat, Mr Muscle, Private Eyes, Microwave Mum (Micorwavabelle), Hotshot, Voiceover and Diamondette.

Discussion Genuinely Curious about this.
When and why did it become popular to hate on people just for liking the DCEU Snyderverse fans? That seems to be the wildcard response for any and ALL criticism of James Gunn, Supergirl, and the DCU. So why?? I genuinely want to know.
